I’d be delighted to see Dennis sent back to his earlier abode, a “van down by the river”. Maybe he could take up a career as a motivational speaker like the Chris Farley character, Matt Foley.

Ready to roll up your sleeves and do some work? I have some ideas. You are in the district, right? Have you met his campaign manager? Do you have a contact email inside the campaign?

I'm going to see what I can do, but at this point, donating is probably the only realistic thing. I doubt it will make much difference. For better or worse, if he isn't on the boob tube, he doesn't exist in the minds of most voters.

Have to disagree. While I'm sure the GOP candidate is a nice guy...I want Dennis the Menace to win..for two reasons..

1. I want him to enjoy life in the minority..and more importantly..

2. I expect him to challenge Obama for the nomination in 2012..

Moved from Westlake to the Boston area 30 years ago. Kucinich is actually worse than what we’ve got here. Hopefully, that will change in Nov. when we take control of the seat being vacated by Delahunt.

Send this thread as a link, or summarize it, in an email and letters to Dick Morris, Rove, Palin, Club for Growth, Tea Parties, and radio station hosts like Hannity, Levin, Limbaugh, etc.

Explain the candidate, his positions, the demographics of the district, how it aligns with the National Review analysis of upset potential. Include links to the candidate's website and any pre-produced ads or marketing material the candidate has.

I think you could convince people that he is vulnerable. Including the links to ads (radio or tv) and marketing materials gives those folks an idea if there is already an "engine" or something to put money into to affect the race. Ads are not typically produced in a day or two, it takes some time, so if the candidate already has some ready that are decent or better, all the better. If not, but has copy and material ready to go to be turned around quickly, then maybe that helps. That's why I thought it might be advantageous to have contact with someone on the inside of the campaign who might tell you some answers to these questions that you might not be able to determine by simply going to the website.

Hi All, Here’s the deal....

Kucinich has trounced the competition by 70K votes in 2004, 60K votes in 2006, and 50K votes in 2008. But basically, he has been slipping, even in the Obama blowout year. This year, with predicted about 30,000 less Dems voting and about 5,000 less Repubs, the gap looks at about 25K. As a “Corrigan” in Cuyahoga county, many Dems trust the name and are crossing over. I also carry about 250 relatives in the district, and a couple of other really important Irish and Catholic connections. And then there’s the Air Force One ride which has most everyone angry. In short, this is a horse race-—our last two unofficial polls had me marginally ahead. And BTW, Kucinich has NOT released his own polls, and this guy always does anything he can to get on the media. Hmmmm......

Problem is cash. The Rep elite in Cleve do not want to invest since they’ve been burned too many times. So the campaign is quiet. I have taken a $250K hit to run, but don’t care if no one supports me. For nine months, full time I have been campaigning grass roots. And I believe that I am gonna win with or without help.

If you guys send help, I’ll get on TV-—the rest of the campaign is already paid for.

BTW, I love you guys-—keep up the blogging.

I am very familiar with Peter Corrigan. I am a Texan who spent his high school years growing up with Peter. He is in the first campaign of his life but he is running strong against the knome. He needs any help that you can give him. His campaign coordinator is an old pro named Bess Vrettos. She can be reached at 216-701-3248. Just tell her Peter’s buddy Tom in Texas told you to call. tomintex

Peter,

Have you contacted Club for Growth, Dick Morris, Tea Party, etc.? I think with the demographics of your district and the analysis of those demographics by National Review - coupled with the Feds cleaning up the corrupt election officials (at least some of them) in Cleveland - you could make a great case. Not only that, you sound like you have done all the heavy lifting for 9 months and really all you lack is TV exposure. Are you ready with your GOTV efforts? Volunteers lined up, motivated? Dick Morris is about to release or has just released another 20 races to contribute to

I am in the District and I do know this campaign quite well. Website is corriganforcongress.com
As for the 14 point down comment somewhere up above in this thread, that was Dennis 14 points up against no one. When Corrigans name only is inserted, the difference was under 10 and when Corrigans bio was given to the respondent, the number was either dead even or Corrigan up slightly. This survey was done in early summer and is not current. I along with many others have spent considerable time this summer going door to door, attending events with Corrigan, phone banking and many other methods of getting the word out and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The problem is the Campaign is cash starved and Dennis gets a lot of free publicity. The radio ads have started now but we are already voting in Ohio so time is limited. Any ideas or money would be welcome. Please visit the website I listed above to donate.

It's basically Cleveland and Cuyahoga County.

It's actually the white western part of Cleveland and the west and southwest part of the county.
