I remember seeing clips of the Muslims dancing in the streets and celebrating the attack. I can't help but wonder if Barrack and Michelle were doing the same thing. Because of Oboma, this country has never been so Sharia compliant. Every new law written since his election is Sharia compliant.

Yes. Commies, too, have volunteerism, it’s not just Muslims.

Back when this seemed like a good idea, Obama was full of ideas for volunteerism. Paid volunteerism, college in return for government service, various schemes requiring 100 hours of service from high school students annually as a graduation requirement. Plus the National Day of Service, to help bury 9/11 and prevent it from being a patriotic rallying cry.

Now with all that has happened, the Mosque, the flaming korans, the economy, health care, tax...the national mood has changed.

The timing of this offensive email is the most breathtaking. They have no clue how we feel or what’s important to us. This announcement is a rallying cry of the sort the WH does not want, with midterms coming up and the ramping up of the Muslim World War.

I think the goal, 18 months ago, was to have a national day to paper over the attacks and so that future generations, 50 years from now, would not think of flame and death on Sept 11.

Patriot Day 2010

What is it?

President G.W. Bush proclaimed September 11, as Patriot Day. On this day the American flag is flown at half-staff at individual American homes, at the White House and on all U.S. government buildings and establishments home and abroad and a moment of silence begins at 8:46 a.m. EDT, the time the first plane struck the North Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

What has the Army done?

The Army follows the traditions of the Defense Department with senior Army leadership participating in a wreath laying ceremony at the Pentagon Memorial on Saturday, September 11 at 9:00 a.m. The Secretary of Defense and the president are expected to attend. G-1 and The Pentagon Memorial will be open Monday - Sunday, 24 hours and available for personal reflection. Many events and activities will be held a numerous Army installations to remember those who died on that day and to remind our Army community to always be prepared for similar actions against our nation.
