"How much money have they wasted patting themselves on the back?" Just consider it a "tramp stamp" of sorts. It leaves a mark.

Geez, about time you people woke up.
Seconding xsmommy’s comment on Obama’s aversion to animadversion, on CNN today, he was quoted as saying:
“Some powerful interests who had been dominating the agenda in Washington for a very long time and they’re not always happy with me. They talk about me like a dog. That’s not in my prepared remarks, but it’s true,” he told a crowd largely consisting of union members.
Soooooo, I guess it was always sweetness and light anytime anyone said anything about Bush?

funny being 6 hours off huh?? LOL! hope last week went well for your kids. it has to be tough trying to break into a new, let alone foreign crowd like that. Do you have 3 kids?
and about his quote: everyone is acting like it’s an odd saying, to talk about someone like a dog. it’s definitely in the black vernacular, though i wouldn’t have thought exclusively so. i am very familiar with the term but they are acting like it was something weird to say on F&F.

I think his reference to being treated like a dog is fairly mainstream.
Mostly I’m surprised because he has gotten so much of a pass thus far. Like I said, you want abuse? I used to feel sorry for W, because it was 24/7 abuse, non-stop.

the double standard is HUGE, and NEVER acknowledged by the dems. W was demonized, openly mocked, and assassination was commonly joked about. This one bawls like an infant if someone frowns at him.

"Like I said, you want abuse? I used to feel sorry for W, because it was 24/7 abuse, non-stop." I'll know 0bama's had a sufficient amount of criticism when I start feeling sorry for him.
That might take a while yet.

i don’t envision ever reaching that point in the next 2 years. no way the media is capable of turning on him to the extent that he would take even one iota of the abuse W took.

So, do you suffer from aminoadversion if you don’t like new-wave Japanese cartoons?

AMINOadversion would be allergic reaction to amino acids.

AMINOadversion would be allergic reaction to amino acids. Basically, I think you're right.
