"I'd smack her in the mouth if I saw her," he offered the interviewer when asked what he'd do if he saw Lohan. "I would smack her in the mouth and be arrested for abusing a woman!" I'll tune in this weekend if they are going to be showing that....

At least he speaks his mind.
And he is right about them hurting themselves.

Lewis, who is gearing up for this weekend's 'Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon,' returned to a more harsh tone when discussing young celebrities who don't give "anything in return" for their fame. "I think they need a f*****g spanking!
I think the Hollyweirdos get enough spankings.

The problem with the youth of today is they believe the myth of Dean Martin.

Honestly, I can't stand Lohan.
But Lewis is too old to be smacking anyone. Shut up, Jerry.

My res[ect for Jerry Lewis has just doubled.
I have always loved Jerry Lewis anyway because I found his films extremely funny even the ones he made with Dean Martin.
But when he started getting involved with Muscular Dystrophy, I really started to appreciate him a lot more as a caring human being.
I have heard some pretty nasty stopries about Jerry Lewis as being overly egocentric, nasty and demanding but what Hollywood celebrity isn’t.
I give every year to the telethon and I iwhs Jerry much success. I even have an autographed play handout when he was touring with DAMN YANKEES as the devil.
And I certainly agree with Jerry that the modern crop of young celebrities is spoiled, addicted to drugs and alcohol, have a sense of entitlement a lot more than any of them deserve and so egocentric that they make Jerry look like Mother Teresa by comparison.

And of course Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis split after Martin was as I recall such a drunk stinker. I don’t recall Martin ever doing anything for any one else, plenty for himself.
The telethons however Jerry has done all those years speaks for itself.
And yes, youth tends to follow the wrong example.

"I would say, 'You deserve this and nothing else' ... WHACK! And then, if she's not satisfied, I'd put her over my knee and spank her..."
I will be glad to do the dirty work!

Jerry Lewis doesn't have much sympathy for the beautiful people who are self destructing and abusing their own bodies.
Jerry's "kids" are fighting everyday just to maintain life, so I can understand why he is so angry when someone deliberately wastes theirs.

The best thing Dean did after the split was his comedy variety show and those wonderful roasts.
Dean got better as he got older.
The rat pack was great!
I still love the original Oceans 11 a lot more than the Clooney rip off remake.

what really gets his goat are the current crop of young and troubled celebutantes who seemingly take their charmed lives for granted.Right. And nobody from Lewis' generation ever got messed up and lived like there was no tomorrow. The golden age of yesteryear was perfect don't ya know.

Dean Martin was a 100% class act who split with obnoxious Jerry Lewis because he’d had enough. It had zero to do with a non existent drinking problem. Martin continued to be a superstar, Jerrry Lewis tanked. Don’t know where you got the fantasy version of the story.
