And all Dawgs Go To Heaven:
I'm not going to touch this one. The puns write themselves :)
I always thought it fascinating that there used to be a large condom factory in Troy, Alabama, home of the Trojans. Actually it was Ackwell Industries and they made all kinds of latex products including condoms.
Art Vandalay wanted to be their salesman.
I lived in Fla a couple decades ago at the start of Bowdens glory years. More of a Gator fan, but enjoyed the Bowden recap a few days later. He was hilarious. In describing the big plays, he would get players confused, get names jumbled, and sometimes, I think, just make em up.
IT WAS PURE GREAT SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT. Made me a big fan of Bowdens when he would throw in JImBob,s daddy runs the station just south of town there, or Bobbyrae Gumbo worked for his dentist dad last year, as he described a tackle at mid-field. Just a good ol boy with aw shucks genuine character.
Thanks Bobby for the years of fun.
I am not holding my breath for my much loved Colts....preseason kinda ruined them and ruined it for me.....too many injuries...... Since I now live in Dallas and can't feel the love for the Cowboys, I feel the need to like some southern team....so I pick the Saints.....what can I say? I like Drew Brees, he is a good guy
Boise State will win the national championship this year....meanwhile the SEC schools will try to figure out ways to get their afroletes out of jail on various charges.....
Did you know that in the ‘40’s, the U of FLA yearbook was called the “Seminole”? My dad and uncle were U of FL guys then, and saw my
dad’s.
Used to work on both campuses in the late ‘60’s....and was friends
with two of the Seminoles quarterbacks......but have to say
that while I love Bowden and think he is great, I’m a big Gator football
fan
