There won’t be a son of Trigger. They nipped him in the bollocks.

'He is very good natured, a big softie really. But we have had him castrated and de-horned or he could easily kill someone. :(

Holstein make for sorry beef for some reason the meat will not marble well. Would do alright for hamburger if you have enough fat to blend in. Just a day or so ago some holstein calves sold on the RFDTV network for $54.00 a hundred weight and they weighed 450#, the same weight of Angus calves brought $154.00 per hundred weight.

Pretty stupid if you ask me.
They could have made millions in stud fees from that monster.

They could have made millions in stud fees from that monster. Castration actually makes the large bones grow longer so he probably would not have grown so large if he hadn't been cut.

I was thinking he must have been castrated at a very early age and maybe bottle fed,a Holstein bull is a dangerous animal.
Thinking he is quite a bit more than 2000 lbs
I`ve got a 2200 lb Angus bull that was sick when he was young...a neighbors dog mauled him severly, chewing off his ears among other wounds.I fed him for 3 months before he stood up...he like having his neck rubbed

,a Holstein bull is a dangerous animal. Yes, those dairy breeds have dangerous bulls that's why a lot of AI is used for breeding. I had a longhorn bull who weighed in around 1850 and was as tame as a dog around humans, kids could climb all over him and he didn't bat an eye, however around other bulls he was all snorting, pawing the ground and charging fences.

I see cattle on the range here that are well over 1700 pounds and they are working for a living. I used to raise Herefords and they are not a large breed. Routinely got steers over 1500 pounds.

They really are that big. The reason we hardly see them is because these males are usually made into veal at a young age. The females are kept for milking.
To: Ronin
From the story, it appears that he was slated to be killed as a calf.
