What this forum needs is a damn good inquisition.

Oh no, not the comfy chair. Anything but the comfy chair.

You NEED to be corrected here. The reason why Free Republic has a RELIGION section is for articles that you complain about, to be posted here. As a Catholic, I appriciate the faith based articles being posted here.

Are dogs OK with being on a lease?

No, they hate being leased. They really get attached to their people, you know. It's a lifetime commitment. As far as dogs are concerned, you're theirs and they're yours, no turning them in after a few years.

the dogma laid down.

If you can't run with the big dogma ... wait, uh, lay down with dogma, get up with ... oh, whatever.

I always appreciate a good white hankie post, Quix. No idea what it means, but it’s amusing.

Sam - You know good and well that most leases are sucker deals for financial fools.

Well I am sick and tired of the anti Catholics.

So I just skip over all of it.

But after all this IS just the internet.

What I do in my prayer/Bible study/daily life as a Catholic is what is productive.

Perservere!
Noli Perturbate!

Lift up FR in your prayer life if it perturbs you so much...you’ll find so much Peace and Calm.

Speaking of leases for dogs.

Our lil rural coastal town, no dogs off leases is getting a huge dog park.

Agility playground and all.

Can’t wait.

(we live on property so running free no prob. but would love to go to a community dog hub)

No idea where you’re coming from on this, but my guess is you’ve accidentally defaulting to the Religion topics page. I don’t see an overwhelming preponderance of religious stories, and those I see are an even mix...

I don’t buy into the ARBITRARY net convention

So - do you at least shower regularly? Some say that practice is an ARBITRARY CONVENTION

I understand what you are saying, but I am a constitutional conservative and a long time freeper.. I preferred the days before we had a specific religion forum, because actually there were fewer and higher quality threads, that were much more theological/biblical. BUT having said that the religion forum has interest for many readers and people with theological interest.

I do think much of the “caucus” stuff is fluff and intended to proselytize so be it.. This is Jim Robs site , but God is sovereign even here ..:)

So all we need to do is scroll past those threads ...

Don’t you love freedom of speech and freedom of religion? Those are still precious to all of us :)

I love having Catholics post their doctrinal teachings here. It lets the rest of us Christian know and expose just how off base some of it really is.

[Religious posts] should be shunted to some separate page

Um, they ARE shunted to a separate page. I don't see them.

Your vanity isn't clear. You've been here for over a decade & you haven't yet figured out that you need to set your browsing criteria to filter out all but the articles you prefer to read? You sure you didn't leave off the modifier for your screen name? You know, the one that starts with SL and ends with OW?

Or are you insisting in this post that FR should be pre-configured to automatically cater to your unique preferences and, unlike other Freepers, you alone should not be required to expend the minimal effort required to configure the articles you see on the front page when you click on the Forum to comport with your own interests?

In which case perhaps we should try to break the news to you gently today: you're really NOT that special, kid.

I go along mighily with what Tax-chick said about words you "almost" heard on the radio.

My boys are always laughing at me (pore hearing-impaired mater) for what I hilariously "thought" somebody said.

Like, the radio said "You've got to try to keep down your carbs" and I thought it said "You've got to try kids on the cob."

Boys thought this was sooo-o-o-o funny. I'll get them...

With salt and butter, too...
