Had the reflectors but forgot the light on the bike. Appears the cop is desperate to find any reason.

This cop is a danger to the citizens of Pensacola. At the very least, this is negligent homicide.

“And you sir are dangerously close to getting your ass kicked.”

pathetic

“I have repeatedly asked for evidence of all the facts being put forth as having happened that aren’t shown in the video. “

No, you asked for evidence about the gun being wiped clean of fingerprints. While ignoring all the other information available.

The thread is based on a newstory not court evidence. Pretty much all stories on FR are like that. Perhaps we shouldn’t comment on any newstory?

I owe you nothing, but you deserve far more. Far more of what you got from me already. You mocked all Freepers.

Wow, way to hijack a thread with a completely false and incendiary comment. Deflection is pretty typical of those who will defend the behavior of cops like this.

Speaking of evidence, do you have any evidence that the kid failed to stop?

IMO as soon as he got off despite the video evidence it became about the whole department.

So many reasons to fire the guy and file charges and all opportunities missed.

Your reading comprehension matches your sad sack view of other Freepers. That is: dumb, missing a cylinder or two, confused.

I am often critical of the cops as anyone on this forum knows. This time I am not sure. As I have a dial-up modem and it is really slow tonight, I can’t watch the video so might change my mind if I did.

First of all the kid should have stopped when the cop told him to. I don’t have any problem with the cop tasering him. The kid falling under the car was a tragic accident but those things happen when you run from the cops.

The part that does bother me is the possibility of a planted gun. I remember back in the 60s a Montgomery Alabama cop shot and killed a criminal who threatened him with a knife. The cop then made the mistake of putting a throw down gun at the scene. It turned out they could trace the gun to the police evidence room.

The odd thing is the shooting was justified. The cop screwed up by planting the gun. That just might be the same type scenario here.

Thank you for injecting race into the discussion.
Why am I not surprised?

His own department has a problem with him tazoring from a moving vehicle. I wouldn’t have a problem with him tackling the kid. Seems a reasonable person would see that tazoring someone on a bike while driving very close to them could lead to problems.

He was negligent and should be charged. The evidence planting is indicative of the larger problem.

Its my bad actually for assuming the kid was black.(I never examined the article enough to determine such) and I apologize for that. I shouldn’t have made an assumption.
The facts are enough to show the cop made a malicious choice and acted on it. I ran from cops as a pre-teen just for giggles. Should I have been tased and run over? No. I never hurt anyone or deserved to die.

It sure likes a the cop planted a gun on the dead boy body. I hope one of the national cable networks picks up on this and investigates it further.

And why “are you suprised”? This wouldn’t happen to a kid riding without a light on his bike in a neighborhood with 300-400 k homes. The truth hurts sometimes. I believe in kids not getting kids at tje whim of cops and getting firearms planted on them. The only reason the cop did it is because the family couldn’t provide a defense/offense for what happened. If this happened to a doctors kid, it wouldnt have been the same outcome. You can be a conservative/republican without taking a neandrathal stance. We all deserve to live without terror.
Whatever your stance, live with it. I’m done talking to a dummy.

It wasn't a tragic accident. It was negligent homicide. You do not risk a human life over a traffic citation. This notion that if you run from a cop then you deserve to die is just ubelievable. The cop was on the wrong side of the street running on and off the sidewalk for over a minute before he even tried to tase him. He is a danger to society.

Snohomish County in Washington State is down right scarry.
A cop was acquitted for blowing the head off of a drunk guy in a parking lot after tazing the guy twice! The cop said that he thought his safety and safety of others was threatened. THREATENED!! Investigation showed the cops life was not in danger...not even close!
A woman in the jury fainted after viewing the pics of the scene.
I heard that a SNOHOMISH COP HAS NEVER BEEN COVICTED OF MURDER. EVER!!

I live here and I’m afraid of those guys having a bad day and wasting people.

I really think the feds need to pick up this case!

Here in Snohomish County in Washington State it’s gotten down right scary. An Everett cop blew the head off of a drunk guy that he had already tased twice. He went to court and was acquitted! Now the family is sueing in civil court. This cop was in no danger! He wasted this drunk guy because he was getting frustrated with the guy. I’m scared. I’m afraid of what these cops are doing and the local gov’t saying its ok.
