America needs a strong and vibrant U.S.-Flag Merchant Marine. That is why you
can continue to count on me to support the Jones Act (which also includes the Passenger Vessel Services Act) and the continued exclusion of maritime services in international trade agreements.

DUH, the laws only apply to the little people, same as the Leona Helmsley rule/law on taxes. And of course illegals are exempt from all laws.

Doesn’t matter; he has a (D) after his name. Rangle wll (may) be their one sacrificial lamb. And he’ll likely be acquitted or given a wrist slap.

Yup, Rangle will get a wrist slap. The MSM will attack Republicans over parking tickets.
I love whoever said that illegals are exempts for the law. True.

Owning a new yacht is a great experience and the fun of owning it shouldnt be diminished by the difficulty of paying for it. Many people have found that by placing their new yacht in charter they can enjoy the thrill of yacht ownership while using the charter income and tax benefits to significantly reduce the cost of ownership. See more here: http://www.cruisingyachts.net/charter_ownership_1.htm

Report: "denied that the old poodle was berthing his boat out of state to avoid paying his own taxes to his own tax-ridden state."
Response: Being that Democrat "Old Poodle" Al Gore gets his Chakras released by hand massage, does this "Democrat Old Poodle" Kerry get his Chakras released by tax dodges? A rule is developing to wit: Democratic Politicians are "Old Poodles" and have Chakras that need release!

Quick search shows a 75’ sailing yacht (very similar to Kerry’s) in New England runs for about $15,000 a week. But bear in mind there would be additional charges for fuel, food, dockage, etc. incurred by the users; so add another $10K or so, depending on lifestyle considerations. LOL.

Everyone seems to miss the fact that the Senator thinks it is okay for him to flout both tax laws and the Jones Act.
Nobody seems to have picked up on the fact that his spokesperson admitted that he intends to violate the Jones Act.
If you look at my Post #1, you will see that BHO thinks it is VERY important...

Massachusetts boat builders, who are having a terrible year, are pissed that poodle bought his yacht from New Zealand. They can build it much cheaper as they do not have those rigid Massachusetts labor laws, unions and taxes that make Massachusetts manufacturers totally uncompetitive.
Kerry voted with his pocketbook against his very own party and the economy they engineered.

This is an undeniable FACT and if we had a news media who would do their job, it would be covered as such on every network and every "news"paper in the country. The GOP should hold a press conference. OMG when are the GOP going to wake up from this spineless slumber????? Nov 2, 2010 is right around the corner and the Kenyan boy king is in complete control of the "news".

we get that part...
What I don’t get is where you got this quote from???
The boat was designed by and purchased from a company in Rhode Island, and its based in Newport at the Newport Shipyard for long-term maintenance, upkeep and charter purposes, not tax reasons,
And a link to the “JONES ACT” would have been usefull also...
