I’d say 90% of us would likely be dead in a year.

Is this a vanity of your own composition?
Or did you fail to source this information?
Or what?

Yep and I don’t want to hear any stupid fantasies about roving bands of urbanites ravaging the countryside. Most would die sitting in the city waiting for rescue, some would die of starvation in a cornfield within sight of a herd of cattle and those that survive are the bright ones who would have value.

Living 80 miles from Memphis I think the wandering hoards are my main problem. The best we East of Memphis can do is blow up the bridges across the rivers to keep them away from here while they kill each other off. I have stored six months of food, fuel, and ammo and reconfigured my barn and house gutters to collect water. I figure most US citizens wouldn't last two weeks with the stores closed.

It's obviously a vanity -- and accordingly, it's supposed to be marked that way ... I guess he's still too new to know how it works around here ... LOL ...

I live about 70 miles from Detroit about 15 miles off the highway and I’m not real concerned about the Obama money crowd coming through here. Plus they would have to pass through dozens of small havily armed towns along the way.
In my experience, city people generally don’t look to rural areas for safety. They mostly head for the next city.

So we cannot rebuild the grid? the railroads and factories were destroyed in Europe during WWII, we rebuilt them. Why will the grid be forever destroyed so we can never have electricity again? I would think that a rebuild would be a good idea.

I actually think the tendency to "head for the hills" would be foremost in their mind in the desperate search for food.

Did you notice the article is date lined, Hawaii, 1962. Now we know what happened to the Birth Certificate. I believe EMP in the Obama Nation would be a bigger deal than when the One was only one.
