Just watching the clip of Inglis at the town hall smugly telling the folks that ‘you’ll get your money’ like we’re a bunch of idgit Obama voters made my blood boil.
It’s like DeMint said- the people don’t know what the job of Congress is, and the senators and representatives don’t either. It is not the job of congress to ‘bring home the bacon’.
And, as Nikki Haley said regarding how often the legislature is in session, it needs to be greatly shortened because “no one can take 6 months off”. If federal and state legislatures only do what they are supposed to, it is not a full time job. You can have citizen-statesmen who have jobs and businesses, instead of politicians living large on the people’s dime.
