More like” The Manchurian Candidate”
Unfortunately, in the military, you are taught to respect the office - if not the man ...
If you disagree with policy, you resign your commission - and then you are free to make any statement you want or to stand for election to oppose him ...
McChrystal was unquestionably right in his opinion - and unquestionably wrong to give the interview before resigning his commission ...
Funny, the GUY is dedicated leftist too and was taken out by his marxist leader.
This dedicate dlty let Rooling Stone into his
offices and he banned FOX News from the headquarter.
I love when leftists eat there own.
Could the orders to ban FOX news have come from higher up, say from the Obama administration?
I just don’t see this interview as an accident. Anyone who talks to a reporter from Rolling Stone knows that there is an agenda. The quotes came from McChrystal’s civilian press aide, not an inexperienced person, looking to get his name in the paper.
No one is talking about something that I heard on our local radio, yesteday, that new charges were filed against members of the Stryker brigade for attacks on civilians in Afghanistan. I think that McChrystal fell on his sword as a means of drawing attention to the rules of engagement. It wasn’t the smartest move, but I think he was so angry, that he just didn’t care.
As far as I have read, all McChrystal said about Obama was that he is inexperienced and obviously uncomfortable in a room full of military brass. I don’t think that it is a violation of the constitution to make fun of Hollbrook, or Biden. We haven’t read the whole article, yet, so I think that it is premature to make the assertion that McChrystal thwarted the constitution. I’m not even sure that saying that Obama was inexperienced is even a violation of his military oath, just not very good judgement, but neither was voting for Obama.
I was addressing obama, not Mc Chrystal.
Mc Chrystal, from what I have read and heard voted for him and supported him. He got what he deserved. When you lie down and sleep with dogs, you wake up with fleas. I don’t care what happens to Mc Chrystal one way or the other.
My concern is what is happening to this Constitutional Republic.
I have to say that makes more sense. Frankly, I was disturbed by McChrystal’s acceptance of Obama right from the beginning. I thought that awakened when Obama summoned him to Norway when Obama was lobbying for the Chicago Olympics. I guess not. It makes me think that McChrystal has the same problem that Bush had, he thinks that he needs everyone to like him and is sure that he can win anyone over.
