Incredible as it may seem, his girlfriend might just have had a cell phone he could use to call OnStar.

That’s my point: the OnStar dispatcher asks him for a number where he can be reached, and he says that his cell phone is locked in his truck. While speaking on a telephone.

You aren't getting it--he should have given the operator the number of the phone he is calling from.

It’s almost useless for me today....gotta double click (or more) each function, just to get into a thread.......and the few replies I’ve posted have been double and triple posts.

Maybe I'm confused...I thought part of the point of the OnStar service was that you can speak to someone by pushing the OnStar button in your car. They can remotely unlock the car. How do you know he was calling from a telephone?

I was having the same problem 3 weeks ago. I could not get on Free Republic or Breitbart but everything else was okay. Slow but okay.
I had to reset my wireless router. Something had burped and the router was blocking those sites.
I have since replaced that router with a new 802.11N router.
It does sound like it is on your end as I am having no problems.

If you are inside your car, which you would have to be in order to push the OnStar button, why would you need to have them remotely unlock the car????
It reminds me of a joke: Did you hear about the moron that locked his keys in the car? He had to break the window to get out.

I might be the one that’s confused. I thought that you can’t access OnStar from outside your own vehicle (where is the OnStar button?).

Yes I know he wasn't conservative. That statement is classic...and it is funny, at least to some of us.

Clear your History. Hubby had to do that for me before I could access FR today. This was a fired server. There are 4 servers, 2 handle data, 2 handle the site. 1 can’t handle the load from what I’ve read on other post.
