I’m 5 miles south of the Eglin bombing range. You’ve never seen a Birch tree here. Keep looking. Fly here and form an expedition. I’ve got AC-130’s shooting 25’s, 40’s, and 105’s just outside my door. I’ve been on every waterway within 50 miles, and I’ve been here for 7 years. I’m typing this post from less than 0.5 miles from HWY 98 in Navarre. You can’t win this argument. Find me a Birch tree used by the Seminole to build bark canoes.

Don’t blame me if you spend the rest of your life relying on government institutions to tell you what kind of foliage grows around your house. You can Google all you want. The fact that Gulf Shores, AL is telling people to stay out of the water doesn’t help. Gulf Shores isn’t cheap.
