It’s sweet, but I would still rather have an A-10 Warthog :)

Seriously tho, has to be a mis-print or something, ‘53s were called the 200mph Superbird in the 70’s, and could hold, oh,, 2-3 of these things and sling one underneath for good measure.

The Lockheed AH-56 Cheyenne had a top speed of 212 knots (244 mph, 393 km/h) and a cruising speed of 195 kn (225 mph, 362 km/h). So the Sikorsky product has a ways to go before it sets any kind of record.
Current world record holder for fastest helicopter:
Westland Lynx ZB500 - 249.1 miles per hour

What those antiquarians over at Sikorsky are doing is channeling Juan de la Cierva!
This ain't no helicopter. It is a powered, pusher AutoGyro. I'll give you this, it IS more advanced than those built by Igor Benson down North Carolina way.
It is a great idea, too. The concept could replace the Osprey tilt-engine concept, with which me personally, ain't never been comfy with, despite reassuring notes from AA.

I totally forgot about the “Hokum”. I haven’t seen any in front line service, just Hind-D’s. But then again, being in the Navy, all I’ve seen are Hormone’s and Helix’s. Nice picture!
