She was only fired after the video became public.
Probably trying to protect the school district for some unknown reason.
She taught in a charter school.
Maybe the WWF will hire her. She could get a gig wrestling midgets dressed up as skool kids.
The teacher was wrong and deserved to be fired. If you take a teaching job in one of these inner city schools you have to know what you’re getting into. A large percentage of the kids only go to school to hang out and cause trouble. They don’t pick up a book or participate in class at all. Watching documentaries about inner city schools can explain a lot about the failure of so many black kids.

Court records show Davis, who has sons aged 14 and 4, is facing an unrelated criminal charge in which she is accused of slashing the tires of another woman’s car with a knife in January 2009.
Lewis described that as the result of a “personal relationship” and said Davis was unaware of the charge until he began investigating her background. She turned herself in on that charge, posted a $1,000 bond Tuesday and faces a court hearing next week.

Lawsuit filed over student’s beating
The tearful mother of a 13-year-old boy announced Thursday that she is suing Jamie’s House Charter School and a teacher there who was caught on video allegedly beating up the teen late last month.
The lawsuit, filed in Harris County, accuses Sheri Lynn Davis, 40, of assaulting Isaiah Reagins for more than a minute — kicking him, slapping his face and dragging him on the floor of a classroom. The suit also accuses the school of negligence and attempting to cover up the incident, which another student filmed with a cell phone camera.
“I thought she was playing at first until she threw the desk, and then that’s when I got scared,” Isaiah said of Davis, who has worked at Jamie’s House for three years.
Isaiah said he and other students were dancing and laughing at a female student before Davis entered the room. He recalled Davis telling him, “So, you want to fight a girl? Fight me.”

“The video clearly depicts a teacher physically abusing a student while other students and faculty members observe,” Patrick, R-Houston, wrote......
Brant Stogner, an attorney for Isaiah and his mother, Alesha Johnson, said at least three teachers and three or four other adults were in the room during the beating.

The way that the headline is written is to say that apologized for recording the student, not for the beating.
Do they even teach Reading Comprehension in schools anymore?
