Bit. Feet. It’s an anti-t typso conspiracy!
Somehow, I understood it all. Either you’re getting better at descriptions, or I’m getting better at deciphering.
I’ve been to Walmart. Now I’m ready to sleep. Tom’s nagging me to take him to the movies. I wish Bill could drive!
Pursue the law before IT pursues you!
That was some fine rant.
We hijacked it as the current Undead Thread.
We will allow it final repose starting July 1 when the New Victim is unveiled.
Don’t laugh, it works as a deterrent.
Trolls who once posted screed s on the first or last day of a month quickly figured out that we’d hijack their threads due to their posting date.
So we noted a drop in trolls on the first or last day of a month.
They figured we’d leave them alone if they posted mid month.
Heh heh heh.
Ouch, Frank summmoned Ash to block your feet so you couldn’t escape “New Guy Bite Attack” in response to “Spork Weasel” being uttered.
At least you didn’t say “Blargh”.
I said, “Oowww!”
Ash has subsided again. I keep telling people to take her for walks, but she just rolls her eyes at them and sighs, in a “You seem to have mistaken me for a dog,” way.
I get this mental image of Ash sitting at the table during dinner time and inspecting an empty plate with peculiar interest.
Meanwhile, the person whose seat Ash stole is sitting there going, “Uh.. you’re a dog. Dogs don’t sit at the table.”
The Husky Shep mix we had thought she was a cat.
*sigh*
She would make attempts to perform feats that the cats did
Imho, more pictures are needed on your home page. As much as I love the ones that are already there, isn’t there room for a few more? :)
I have a lot of pictures on my Photobucket. I just have to take the time to reconfigure my profile. It’s on the list (with inputting my genealogy) for some peaceable hour when nobody is screaming or throwing or running or falling or dribbling on my knee.
Jake gets on the table and helps himself off the plates. Ash would, if she could fit!
Jake is currently “interpretive sleeping” on the recliner here in the sunroom. I’d take his picture, but a brown cat on a brown chair isn’t a very effective photo.
Camouflage, I has it!
;-)
He’s nearly invisible.
Indivisibility?
I should live so long.
I’ll wait. :)
Indefatigability?
Go forever without tiring?
I wish.
My response has nothing to do with lawyers, but it does have to do with novels.
As someone with a moderate interest in writing, and in science fiction, I was pleased to discover, quite belatedly, the work of a fine scriber:
John ScalziThis is my kind of writer.
The first book that I read was "Old Man's War", published in 2005.
Fortuitously, I purchased the sequel "The Ghost Brigades" at the same time, um, two days ago, which I'm reading now.
Looks interesting. I’ll try the library catalog.
A noble goal. An ambitious goal.
Some sacrifices may be necessary.
Among other things, in order to take cases you think are worth it, or even to be able to attend law school, you will need to lead an ascetic life.
This has some attendant benefits. It gives you plenty of time and minimizes your expenses. It focuses the mind toward the goal by reducing distractions.
It also has negative ramifications. You will be self-isolated from social occasions. The results of that can be psychologically traumatizing. You would have to be strong, and determined.
You must also, now or eventually, give thought to progeny. As a sibling of multiple occasions, this may not seem important now. It could come to weigh on you. I hope it doesn't. Generally, I advise people to try to keep their options open for as long as possible. This may work or not.
Seek satisfaction in the construction of a fine mind. It will be your shield and your bulwark, as well as the tool of your ambition. But keep in that fine mind the awareness that other delights are wafting about, to entrance and ensnare you.
It may be wisdom at some point to let this follow its course. Who knows? Be intense. Be dedicated. But be happy.
Life is too short. Those of us who really want to live as if we lived to BE, we can aways depend on LIFE !
And so we say...
