What do you have against bigger brains?
Neanderthal survived In Europe during the ice age with nothing beyond stone tools. During the same time CroMagnon/Homo Sapien did not venture much beyond the 30th latitude. They must have had something going for them.
Oh no, I guess I didn’t explain it properly.
Nothing against bigger brains, I certainly wish mine was bigger.
The point I was trying to make is that a bigger brain might just be more dangerous inside the wrong person’s skull, and also that brain size alone does not determine intelligence.
Also, maybe the Neanderthals were smarter than anyone gives them credit for. Maybe they should have won the game instead of CroMagnon. Too bad they left so little behind for us to see.
I’ve seen some of the paintings in caves in France, very impressive.
