Cool. They could reactivate Barry Bonds and make it a complete disgrace.

This is outrageous. If the Giants do this, or if the Diamondbacks or Suns do the same sort of stunk, I swear to God and I am serious I will never attend any of their games either team again. I will never again attend a sports event where a team uses their uniforms to make a political statement (other than basic American patriotism).

They could wear want they want but I As a fan would not give them one of my hard earned dollars.

I would wait to find out why first.
In know the Tigers do things with their uniforms like this at various times during the season in cluding the occasional El Tigre uniform.

Agree with you. I was dismayed when Ozzie Guillen opened up his yap the other day and declared that he's boycotting the '11 All-Star Game in Arizona.
I follow sports to escape. If baseball insists on engaging in social or political activism, I'll go elsewhere for escape.
Just like singers/actors bloviating their opinions. Better consider what percentage of your base you're alienating before you open your mouth and stick your foot in it.

Politics is about polarization and contrast. You want to have clearly defined poles in a spectrum of choice (on policy, on issues, on candidates). While much of the media treat “polarization” in politics as a pejorative - it’s really the point. And truly successful political campaigns (1994 Contract with America, Reagan’s 1984 obliteration of Wally Mondale) are those that turn up the contrast. It seems to me that these little symbolic gestures by businesses in the Southwest (that feel like they must patronize Latinos) are going to reap great benefits for the GOP in November. These are small gestures - but they really don’t go down so well. And that will lead to payback. So, go ahead and ladle it on.

The Giants are in Florida today, so they will probably not wear their “Gigantes” jerseys.

Interestingly, I understand that the San Diego franchise is okay with the law, so to assimilate, they will be known as the San Diego Fathers.

I went to a Washington Nationals Game around this time last year and the Nats were wearing “Los Nacionales” shirts. They were giving out t-shirts too. Is this really that unusual?

...supervisors are considering having some sort of action/vote/other where the San Francisco Giants baseball team would have to wear jerseys Gigantos... This sounds like a hoax. The city can't demand that a team change its name.
...of course, stranger things have happened.
