Ontario pit bull
LOL! So that’s what they look like. Nuke them from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure </s>. Actually, I think I would have absolutely dominated frisbee dog competitions with one of those.

Is that The Usurper’s 2nd grade class picture?
(The guy in the middle have the Birth Certificate under his hat?)
need to get one of our psycho anti-pitbull freepers to regulate..
Funny you should mention guns and pitbulls.......
I owned two beautiful pitter's - I really hope to see them in another place. I'm beyond psycho pro-pitbull.
7-11...Vons...thunder has struck several times....against those that are anti Pitbull. For what ever reason, the conversation got started....the "I hate pitbulls", "all pitbulls need to die..."......
My female was 17 years old when I put her down. The worst thing she ever did was knock a 12 month old baby over, from the sitting position. Her nose augered into the diaper...getting the smell.
Both, idiots....push..shove....thunder strikes...right hand from the big guy.......
Sorry, you leave me no choice.......
Now I have two Fox Terriors.......the county just passed a law saying both MUST be newterd / spayed. Ok, female is done. Get another letter saying, "if ya don't get the male done, $1000 fine and or we take your dog." I replyed via email, "I'll take care of the male when I am ready to....should you decide to 'confiscate' my dog...wear lot's of body armor that day. The odds are that I have the weapons - and ammo type - to swiss cheese anything you have.
P.S, don't forget to tell your family 'goodbye!', the day you plan on coming to take my dog.......
“Dogs are not born violent,” McConachie said. Instead, they are “made that way by irresponsible owners who train them to be that way or neglect them and they develop behavioural problems.”
Ya think? I have a pittie who thinks he’s a 10 lb lap dog and the worst threat from him is being kissed to death....
"...According to the CDC, the amount of dog bite related fatalities has not risen (accounting for the increase in both human and dog populations) since pit bulls became popular. There are also several other places that have found pit bull bans to be useless, including Denver, Colorado and the UK (whose bites have risen significantly since their ban was enacted). Calgary does not have breed specific legislation, but instead opted for responsible dog ownership laws that effect ALL dog breeds through the education and regulation of their owners. Since their legislation was enacted, they have seen a dramatic decrease in serious attacks from all breeds, as well as having an estimated 90% licensing rate for all dogs, which is amazingly high..."
Having dogs draw blood on me three times over 60 years, I am very attentive to serious dogbites and fatalities.
Canada may not sufficient Pit Bull types to draw from to draw meaningful data. (Much less the many fatalities precipitated by Pit Bull types and owners we must stake claim toin these United States).
I'd ask that jaw configuration (tooth positioning and ratio) be correlated along with populations of Pit Bull types before reaching any conclusions.
(If you have a .pdf file, my ancient computer will prefer it in HTML).
To be valid, a survey should include "a count".

Statisticians will tell you that the magic number is 30 for studies. Anything above that is a bonus, but 30 is all you need to get results that are representative of the rest of the population. Having worked with several people involved in the rescue of pit bull-type dogs from that area to shelters in the United States, I can assure you, Canada’s pit bull population is not small. They are gaining in popularity pretty much everywhere, especially since the hysteria began spreading, thanks to the media and irresponsible dog owners.
As for the jaw comment, I am not sure what you mean by that. Pit bulls do not have anything different in their jaws, no locking mechanism, nothing special. They don’t have more teeth than any other dog, nor are their teeth sharper or positioned differently. Their muscles are the same, although because their skulls are shaped differently, it appears the jaw muscles are huge. In actuality, the muscles have no more strength than any other breed. There have been bite pressure studies done proving that not only do pit bulls not have 2,000 psi jaw pressure, but they aren’t even the strongest-jawed breed. Jaw strength is proportional to the size of the dog, and pit bulls are no exception.
I will try to pull up some studies for you when I get home from work. I am limited at work, and unfortunately am not as computer-literate as I might hope to be, but I will see what I can do. There’s a plethora of information out there that isn’t getting circulated as it should.
