I can only assume that you are not familiar with the VA Medical Systems in Chicago, IL, Maywood, IL, or Dallas Texas. The Dallas VA takes great pride in their 45% patient approval. A friend (utilizes the VA in Dallas) ordered med refills online, he didn't receive the meds, reordered again and still no meds. After 3 months of no meds he called. After being on hold for 1.5 hours he was finally told the meds were backordered and he needs to get his doc to request a substitute. It took an additional 3 weeks to get a substitute for the original script.
I took him to an appointment recently. The employees were positively horrid in the treatment of the vets.
I think your right. That’s what I’ve been trying to do. I’ve just gotten frustrated. Feeling like what I’m telling her is falling on deaf ears. I try to make my emails non-confrontational and more questioning. I asked her the last email I sent her to name me one government program that has worked really well and didn’t waste a lot of money? She as you can see by this last email, didn’t answer that question. That seems to be how it goes. It’s as if she is just throwing stuff out there. I’ll answer her on what she says in her emails and ask questions. And she’ll just send more stuff like this last email. Rarely ever answering the questions I ask her.
On the other hand most conservatives base everything on a belief in God and our rights coming from Him. Having the freedom to make choices, not have them made for us. The freedom to learn from our mistakes and become better because of it, even if it hurts. It's about debate, give and take. It's about personal responsibility. It's about having the freedom to keep what you make and give what you want, not have it taken by force. Most God centered people are very generous.
Sounds to me that if she had one more brain cell, it would die of loneliness. I don't have that problem because I refuse to argue with relatives, or anyone that agrees with fools.
Wow! I'm retiring in a year and I filed for some GI Bill (education) benefits. The VA sent me a check for the previous years Tuition that I paid out of pocket.
Have you tried contacting another organization, like the VFW? If you're near a military base, the Family Readiness Center might be able to help.
I contacted the American Legion as both of us are members. Havent heard a word.
I tell my younger brother the same thing...
Thanks for the link, I just posted it on my facebook. Betcha she doesn’t say a word about it. That’s ok, it might get her thinking anyway.
