The title of the thread looked like Venus demolished Kim when in fact the opposite occured.
To: SmokingJoe
Heading is stupid and confusing. Shoulda put in a full stop.
In the men's finals, Andy Roddick beat Roger Federer for the title.
To: SeekAndFind
Yes. I just cut and pasted the entire title. I realized how it looked the moment I posted it. Shoulda put in some brackets or a full stop. Apologies.

PUNCTUATIONS go a long way to change the meaning of a title.
It should really be this to give the right impression :
Williams demolished. Clijsters beats up on Venus in final
See the difference one small DOT does ?
To: SmokingJoe
Roddick beat the guy that beat Federer - I never heard of him.

The title aside, I would have to say that Venus’ days of being on top are probably over. She’s very injury prone and won’t be as good as her sister.
I’d really like to see Serena against either of these Belgian women in the next grand slams ( this time, with Serena controlling her infamous temper ).
To: SeekAndFind
Yup.
If it’s any comfort to you, I am busy bashing my head against the wall right now for that slip up.

In the men's finals, Andy Roddick beat Roger Federer for the title.
Roger Federer is probably in his final legs as well. I give him maybe one or two more grand slams tops. He's pushing thirty ( the age when they start slowing ) and has nothing left to prove.

"In the men's finals, Andy Roddick beat Roger Federer for the title."Roddick beat Tomas Berdich (sp?) in the men's final. Berdich beat Federer in the semifinal and it was a great match!

Well Serena beat Henin at the Australian Open, after Henin had beaten Clijsters earlier. Meanwhile, Clijsters beat Serena at least year's US Open. I am glad both Henin and Clijsters are back. It makes women's tennis much more fun.
Should be an interesting year.

As others have pointed out, it was Tomas Berdych that Andy Roddick beat to win the title.
As for Federer, he has a few years in him yet. After all, the did win three out of the last four grand slams, including the French open which he had never won before.

I am properly ashamed of myself. I won’t even show my face in public for a week. :)
