LOL. We're all too stupid, doncha know.
Meaning this movie will do about as well as the other politicized pieces of doggie squeeze regarding Iraq Hollywood has turned out in the past 8 years. Will the idiots ever learn.
Translation - It may be too intellectual for you "little people".
The Bush disaster in Iraq. Uh huh. No 3-state "solution" in Iraq. No Saddam Hussein funding international terrorism (in Israel for example) and seeking WMD (he was seeking them and in repeated violation of the 1991 peace terms).
This same Village Voice Media paper has an ad for the screening of a new 9-11 truther film at an Episcopal church.
I can’t even stand Matt Damon.
Transltion : It’s full of loony left, pro-Al Quaeda, anti-American lies and propaganda. Matt Damon is a pathetic, sad, deranged, hate-filled, little man.
"bang-bang pulse-pounder, amalgam of Greengrass's artfully vérité docudramas, always-credible Damon, twitch beneath Kinnear's Rum-dumb diffidence, galumphing, and two-fisted, patriotic mega-rogue Boy Scout cum investigative soldier"
...as a mindless dolt who will think that the (arguably) most anti-American movie of our time is a rollicking good time.
I hope Americans stay away from this POS in droves.
I still remember watching “Top Gun” in the theater and hearing a lady in front of me remark of how good of a fighter pilot Tom Cruise is.
So many idiots think what they see is fact in Hollyweird.
Green Zone works mainly because of the hardworking, always-credible Damon. The ultimate good soldier in Saving Private Ryan, the cleverest of con men in The Talented Mr. Ripley, Damon is still a juvenile at 40. He has made a career of alternately projecting and parodying boyish idealism, sometimes in the same movie (e.g., The Informant!). For Green Zone, he's Bourne again with a difference, a gung-ho figure of incredulous righteous indignation
And if one doesn't know the type-casting of Matt Damon, none of this matters. Especially if the audience is more aware of his antiAmerican liberalism.
I picture theaters empty except for two or three liberal film hacks.
Hey! He’s in the Film Actors Guild isn’t he?
Yeah, that too.
The movie is pretty lame. A fictitious mid-manager WMD hide and seek flick. I don’t see anyone wasting a free movie pass on it...
I kept on the edge of my seat - that position forces me not to fall asleep...
(saw it on the net already)

There’s a conspiracy theory that Matt and Ben didn’t really write Good Will Hunting.
I can believe that.

The public gave up on waiting for them to write another film together.
