There’s no technology like John M. Browning technology! The man was a freak of nature.
Sounds like my trap shooting experiences back in the ‘70s. The only shotgun I had was an Ithaca model 100 double. They laughed at my gun, but their expensive Italian trap guns couldn’t beat it. We finally got tired of it and quit doing it.
I’ve got an 1897 also. It belonged to my Grandfather. It got me a lot of doves when I was a pup. When you rack that guy, it really gets attention. But I haven’t shot it in years.
Yea, I know and I'd really hate to shoot one in a 12 ga.........
replacement barrel, I never would have thought of that. Thanks
I’m glad! Thanks!
I hope all is well with you in the gun department!
Yes. Keep the stock, get a short barrel with sights. Mine has a rifled choke tube (or not), Patterns 00 at 30 yards fine and puts slugs on a paper plate at 100 yards. Put the long barrel on when you get a chance to hunt birds.
Well enough! See to it you and yours are too.
Stay safe!
Thanks!....You also!
Attempting a thread hijack, does anyone have a good, affordable semi-auto shotgun to recommend? I have limited use of my left arm so I don’t really want a pump or other manual action.
Remington and Winchester have put out ones you would like to pursue/purchase!
absolutely! and also...don’t risk a possible jam at the moment of truth either by performing this age old bullsh$t advice in tactics. to many hollywood movies have really had their effect for some haven’t they OK?
(Bowing with fake modesty.)
Semi’s have become so expensive....
What’s your idea of affordable?
I know a guy that has this gun....

Not affordable, but I want it and he refuses to sell it to me....
I’ve never seen that before, but I want one too.
It’s big.
It’s black.
It is AWESOME.
