Who is that? What’s the story there?

That looks like an Albion. IIRC they’ve got a viking type X that looks like that, with that brazil-nut pommel. Their site isn’t coming up for me or I’d be able to check.

That Colt 45 malt apparently has magical properties...one time it transported me and my Dads mustang from a beach party at Monterey to the rear of a gas station in Gilroy and even put two half clothed beach bunnies and a pony keg in the car for company when I awakened. But, alas, it had neglected to include my girlfriend. Boy, was her dad overly angry...CHPs thought it was funny though.

Looks like the Albion Gaddhjalt.

You’d win hands down. Looked like no lights on as well as drunk as a skunk.

Is that the kind she used? It looks a little too high-class for someone who chugs Colt 45.

Sword-wielding seems to be in the news fairly often right now, despite the fact that the AR-15-type rifle was the best-selling firearm last year, no doubt in commemoration of the ascension of The One.

Just a little over two weeks ago, one post-doc used a katana on another post doc at Georgia Tech. This happened in the building next to the one my nephew works in. He said that so many grad students (mostly foreign) aren't too tightly wrapped, so he appreciated the M4 I bought for him as a graduation present.

Yeah, not much in the news lately to warrant a sword ping!

Nah... the woman in the story used some sort of stick cane-sword. Like in the pictures up top. I was referring to the girl in the pic downthread from there. About post 21 or so. Looked like a gaddhjalt in an over-the-shoulder sort of rig.

The over-the-shoulder rig isn’t period-accurate, but it works well in movies. That sort of sword would’ve been worn typically on the belt. But hey... it works for her. :-)

I got up to speed on the story now. Grandma says it's used to defend against pitbulls. Nobody knew where it came from, or that there was a blade in it. I guess Colt 45 can do that to you.
