"There's a vacuum of leadership at the national level; and what appears to be the Republican Party's response? A 69-year-old man who has done virtually nothing for years. We're at the same stage the Whigs were. There's no choice."

Yes, history repeating itself. Obama is the second Carter, and there is a second Reagan in the wings, offering "simple solutions" who like Reagan will be a disaster for the GOP (establishment) if nominated.

Yep, you still need work on your math.
Are you a product of the American school system?

Now posted on C4P, with a little update in the names. Reads just like it was written today against Palin.

Actually, I from the same school you are but you don’t seem to get my point.

Jerry is also blessed because the “Republicans” running are liberals, and the disastrous incumbent, also a “Republican” has made a considerable Socialist fiscally insane record. Not a Reagan Republican in sight.

Tom McClintock has run state-wide a couple of times and he got trounced. Same thing with Dan Lungren. Both were pretty conservative and both know a conservative can’t be elected state-wide.

We were discussing McClintock in another thread this weekend:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2455549/posts?page=27#27

McClintock was routinely sabotaged by the RINO party establishment, and they were more to blame than any state sentiments (in fact, I wholly reject your claim 100% that a Conservative can’t get elected - period). As for Dan Lungren, his 1998 campaign was simply awful, and that had also nothing to do with his ideology.

You would be surprised how many “awful” candidates end up winning elections and serving in the United States Senate.

No, awful people. But some awful people run quite superb and effective campaigns.

Al Franken made every mistake in the book, ran a lousy campaign, and is now serving in the United States Senate.

And please don’t blame Norm Coleman, blame George W. Bush.

I loved Glenn Beck’s thinly veiled attacks agisnt GWB this weekend. The conservatives are FINALLY waking up to what hit them in 2006 and 2008.

It wasn’t Coleman’s fault, nor was it Dubya’s. That election was won by vote-counting fraud, pure and simple. Coleman was the legitimate winner, and the Democrats in MN, including a corrupt Sec of State and DFL judiciary, signed off on the fraud. If you think that was a clean win, it wouldn’t have taken 6 months to seat Franken. A total joke. Hope he enjoys his single term, because he won’t be winning another.

“We have been told there are no simple answers to complex problems. Well, the truth is there are simple answers, just not easy ones.” “

They lose, we win.

This election shouldn’t have even been close.
