Unlike her first attempt, where she had troble folling through.
In the State Police report is a bunch of malarky about her trying to remove the magazine restricter, which I think keeps it to 3 shells. She wanted all of them, 5 shells.
You know she shot three times, and then ran out with the shotgun. Why, was it unloaded? I doubt it. It still had rounds in it.
Also, when she fled, she put on her jacket. Why? If she was totally bonkers, I could see being, say, naked. But she was planning on being out, so she rationally took her coat, and I wonder if there were more shells in the coat pocket for the .....escape. But, of course the experts have all said it was just an accident. You know, going over a wire and pulling the gun after you. That kind of thing.
Did they act “stupidly?”
The family prolly got free tuition from Northeastern, since Daddy was on the faculty.
Good post.
I wonder what you think of her having more ammo in her pocket when the police arrested her near the car dealership.
Personally, if I had accidentally shot someone I am sure my first instinct would have been to call for help.
I think it proves that she is truly wicked.
If it had been an accident and if she had cared about her brother, she would have done exactly as you suggest.
She would have thrown the gun down on the floor in horror, called 911 and probably collapsed in hysteria or depression over what she had done.
Instead, she goes off like the Bonnie half of Bonnie and Clyde.
What shows some kind of corruption in that police chief is that in the absence of being able to prove murder, which he surely could have but assuming for the moment he could not, he could have put her in jail for pointing a gun, attempted armed robbery, robbery with a firearm, etc., for both the incident with the motorist and the car dealer.
In most states robbery with a firearm gets you 7 years, mandatory.
