The women aren’t starting from the same place. Apparently they’re starting at the “junior” start.

All these changes to the luge event and track, yet the IOC and ILF continue to insist that the track is safe and is not to blame for the Georgian luger’s death. Hmmm...

I wonder why? The reasoning for moving the men was to slow them down - but the women wouldn’t be going any faster than the men did from the women’s start. They also upgraded the track to make it safer.

Could it be the only reason they are moving the women is so people DON’T compare the men and women?

Who knows? These are the same people who have insisted the track design had NOTHING to do with the Georgian luger’s death, yet they’ve changed so many elements of the track and the competition since then.
