I think an active involvement by Palin the Brown’s campaign, at this point in time, would have brought more rabid anti-Palin voters to the polls than pro-Palin Massachusetts voters (all three of them) to vote for Brown. Relax, I think Governor Palin knows where she can help and where her presence would not help or would actually hurt the candidate. Remember, she stepped in to help Chambliss in much-more-conservative Georgia, and Chambliss won his runoff senate election in a blow-out, for which Sarah can legitimately claim much of the credit.

It’s a free country. She doesn’t have to take my opinion, and neither do you.

But she will not find any acceptance within the power circles of the Republican Party until she cracks them over the head with it. It’s just a simple appreciation of realpolitiks.

The power circles of the GOP do not want conservatism. If they did, we wouldn't be in this boat. They don't want true Republicans. You don't work w/them, you work around them.

So by endorsing McCain in his AZ primary; I presume, is Sarah Palin’s way of working around them. Interesting.

Possibly. And I think it was a smart move for Sarah to avoid Brown and Mass. altogether.

I agree. Just as it was smart of her not to go up on the bulletin board in Times Square. She may never win back a major portion of the country, but even with moderates and independents she needs a little time and distance before even approaching them again.

Agreed. We should be her advisers. :) And I need a full time job, too!

I’m confident she reads FR regularly. Though with her book sales and speeches and Fox deal, she probably could support a few more advisers...

It’s the ‘loyalty’ thing in play.

The “Loyalty” motive is for mass consumption. Successful politicians can’t afford to base the expenditure of their limited political capital on loyalty.

Frankly, I don’t think Mrs. Palin has yet grown into the type of political leader that can competently control and successfully dischage the amount of raw political power her supporters have thus far so willingly given her. She certainly doesn’t see it on the same level as John McCain’s, which, of course, it is — far greater even.

Of course she sees what McCain’s about! What is revealing about you is that you can’t see that she is more than ready!

I don’t agree w/her support of McCain. Sarah has her way of doing things and it has worked for her. To thine own self be true.

No, you are right...I can't see it. She is still playing the part of the political underling to the omnipotent McCain.

She is wasting a rare moment in our nation's history as this new raising conservative ascendancy calls out to be lead in its attempt to replace its Congressional representatives, and all she can do is pay off old campaign debits with it. Give me a break!
