Hope they dont start an insurrection or join forces with those Amish.

Not the Amish, but JS did send some missionaries to convert the Shakers. Epic fail.
That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard, at least today.

Stick around and it won’t be. lol.
Gods promise of salvation is inviolable. Least that is what he had some old guys write.

They get around that by claiming there are two types of salvation.
“Salvation by grace” is a UNIVERSAL salvation, that only means that by God’s grace we will all be resurrected. That is it. Period.
Then they have INDIVIDUAL salvation, which is based upon your works, and if you accept the LDS gospel in this life or the next. That will determine which of the 3 levels of heaven you get to go to.
Finally, their main definition of salvation, “Eternal life” (which is really part of Individual salvation), is also called exaltation, that means that you are in the highest level of heaven (the Celestial Kingdom) and will progress into Godhood yourself.
Guess things didn’t quite Shake out the way they thought it would.

That is correct. There were several other posters that had somewhat more indepth articles on the subject as well. From the descriptions of the ecstacy and the mental states achieved, there is some correlation between not only the use of magic mushrooms found in upstate New York and the mental states, but also in the times of year that this ecstacy was achieved which correlated to the times of mushroom growth.
