I know what you mean about the town. Reminded me of where I grew up (1280 people) but all he could do was criticize the crockery...what the hell?
Yeah, where did that crockery comment come from? I was almost expecting some kind of ironic justice like with the revolver. First he made the “cowboy” crack about the revolver. Later it saved his life. I thought maybe something similar was coming with the crockery: like maybe his wife would smash the crockery over an intruder’s head to save hubby’s sorry ass one more time.
Just ready your comment to the hubby. He said he thought the crockery was going to magically produce anti-biotics. Then he said to himself “I need to learn how to make anti-biotics” LOL he cracks me up.
Sorry to see “Armageddon Week” end. Did you watch “Apocalypse Man”? I did but wasn’t very impressed. Some tactics were interesting but the overall strategy was flawed. Heading for city center? I won’t be doing that. Also, I wont be breaking into other peoples’ homes. Nor will I be traveling through sewers where the air can literally kill you.
I was sorry to see it end also. Actually the only show I really got anything out of (besides the steel wool to a battery trick) after armageddon. Apocalypse Man was a let down. There is no way I would head into the city (especially because I am in between Baton Rouge and New Orleans). It may have been geared for people who aren’t prepared at all but hubby and I already have a lay low with supplies stocked as well as go bags and appropriate vehicles. All in all I wish they had more shows on about subsistance survival techniques. I plan to plant my first garden this year (ordered heirloom seeds) and will learn how to can. I guess I will either save my family or kill them, wish grandma were here. Hind sight being 20/20 I wish I would have paid more attention to all of her skills...wish me luck!
I planted my first garden last year. It was A LOT of work to break ground for a new garden, but I found it worthwhile and rewarding. I found that I really enjoy gardening. Hopefully you will, too. I'm planning to start canning this year. Good luck!
Appleseed (member name) has the survival teotwawki list. If you frepmail me I can give some advice, but he started compiling a few months ago. Thanks.
Per JDW11235 I would love to be a member of the twotwawki likst. Look forward to it. Thanks JDW!
