I’m guessing you’ve never been on a cruise.

You think I'm not a citizen and part of the Stazi, because I said they couldn't follow directions? Your post to me, and name calling makes no sense. Did you even watch the video related to the story? It clearly showed that the couple taking the cruise didn't have a clue what documents they needed to bring. The cruise requirements are clearly written all over the paperwork you receive in the mail and on the website. If they couldn't figure it out by reading about the requirements, then they could have called the cruise company. It's no different than someone not having their proper ID at the airport. Why do you feel the cruise company should have cut them some slack because they couldn't do what was required? Follow directions, it's an important attribute to have.

You are a friggin noxious idiot, does that sound rude? Sorry, chap, it’s well-deserved. You’ve earned your title.

At the very start of that news report the news announcer says, “A mistake anyone of us could make.” That’s a pretty big clue, dude.

The couple had THE State-issued birth registration documents that they had ever been given. Ones that they had used their whole life. You must of missed that section of the video, did cha? Idiot!

Not until 1978, years after they were born did the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania start issuing certified actual birth certificates as a matter of course. The couple very reasonably believed that the Birth Registration document that the state had issued to their parents when they were born, documents they had used for official purpose ever since, were all that was required. All of that information was in the video, dimwit.

But her you are cheering on the fact that fellow citizens got cheated out of thousands of hard-earned dollars by arrogant and ignorant and rude bureaucratic clerks. You celebrated that loss! You mocked them and cheered on the idiots who made an idiotic decision.

I hope the news report will help them raise the pressure needed to get reimbursed. In any case they were harmed, and most rudely. The newsman announcer was right. It could have happened to anyone.

Grow up.
