Suggest you take a class in genetics as pitbull owners engage in trailer or da hood backyard genetic engineering. Pitbulls are highly unpredictable thanks to idiots trying to breed them. It is called animal cruelty. Certain breeds are more unpredictable. You obviously know nothing about dogs and certain breeds.
I’m amazed at how much you managed to learn about the background and motivations of the victim from a tiny six paragraph article. If I’m ever up before a judge, I sure hope he’s nothing like you.
“Suggest you take a class in genetics”
I’m a little further along than that, but thanks for the advice. Perhaps you should take a bit of your own. For the record, for as long as “gentlemen” have bred pit bull-types to fight other animals, they were also breeding them to be extremely human-submissive, so that they didn’t have to worry about being bitten while separating dogs in the heat of battle. If you are adamant about using the genetics argument, then you must admit that though many dogs have an inbred predisposition to dog or other animal aggression, they also have an inbred predisposition to be trusting and gentle with their owners and even complete strangers. Never in their history have they been bred to be human-aggressive, or as guardians. This is evidenced by the fact that pit bulls rank very high (along with yorkies) as one of the most stolen breeds, and perform better than many other breeds in tests on unprovoked aggression.
“Certain breeds are more unpredictable. “
Certain dog owners are more clueless. Learning that a dog’s challenge behaviors are often confused with attempts at affection (sitting in owner’s lap, continuously licking owner’s hand, crying when owner leaves, etc.), and most people don’t have any idea how to handle a breed of dog that needs a job, let alone a companion-bred dog.
I know union types. My guess, based on your response, is someday you may be in front of a judge and it may be for very shameful act.
Do you envision it being available online?
“writing my thesis about the effects of irresponsible dog ownership, pit bulls, and the damaging results of biased reporting on society as a whole.
Do you envision it being available online?”
I am planning on it. I am also planning on writing a book, but we will see how that pans out! For now, I can just pop in every once in a while to add my two cents until the workload thins out a little.
