Just wondering, from those who lived through the carter years.
And let’s not forget, Disco.
Lighted dance floors, the good ole’ days;)
It seems to me more like when will he stop giving his malaise speech?
Here’s a trivia question: How many times did Carter say “malaise” in his Malaise Speech?
My only good memories of surviving the Carter years were the killer rabbit, Carters malfuncting radiation badge, and his removal of our child molesting mayor.
I disliked the man so much that I was livid with rage when he conceded defeat to Reagan...BEFORE I got the chance to cast my vote against his sorry rump!!!
none?
Got my first vote in;)
Malaise will kick in with the new taxes and coming inflation.
I just hope Zero doesn’t give this speech from the golf course.
Carter turned me conservative. He was a ridiculous fool. I remember him grabbing Breshnev and planting a big kiss on his cheeks. Carter grinned like an idiot; Breschnev looked shocked. A few weeks later the Soviets invaded Afghanistan. Afterwords, Ted Kennedy had funny line about Carter “suffering the pangs of unrequited love.”
Carter called Breznev trying to get help when he knew Reagan was going to be his a*s. The Democrats back then screwed Carter. Today they will not stand up to Obama.
Obama is far worse.
From someone who was just out of high school, no skills, experience or family connections and too dumb/brain-washed to join the military.
Fill out at least six job aps per day for two weeks to get a minimum wage job that would add little to your resume. Rinse and repeat several times a year because employers have 100 more aps, per month, on their desks and decide to let you go to a) avoid giving you a raise, b) relative wants that job, c) friend's son wants the job, d) some girl they'd like to boink wants the job, e) you have paid off the employment agency that got you the job (do I have to explain how that works?).
All that and more was how it went in the Ford - Carter recession years.
Life is tough enough when you are young, dumb, stubborn and have no direction in life. If there is a severe recession when you hit the job market every day is your turn in the barrel. lol
He still is.
Plus, he is going to look like such a dork in that cardigan sweater that he has to wear after he turns down the official White House thermostat.
I was young then, even then I knew something was wrong.
