I was reading something a few months ago by Arnold Palmer. He said he once played in a junior golf tournament. I assume in the 1950s they were just as competitive as they are today. Arnold lost his temper and threw a club - like you know who still does.
I think Arnold won but on the way the parents were silent. His father told him if he ever threw a club again or lost his temper on the course that golf was over for him. His father said he would never play golf again while he lived in their home. Arnold said after that he never lost his temper.
Tiger often acts like a spoiled child on the course and his is enabled by his thug and big mouth caddy. I have lost respect for him. Even the fawning media was on him when he acted like a jerk at the British Open and missed the cut.

You're operating under some mistaken impression then.
If police come to my door (or if they call me on the phone) and want to talk to me. I can tell them that I do not want to talk to them and they cannot make me talk to them. They may want me to come down to the station and talk with them or sit in my house and talk to me.
I can tell them they cannot come in my house and I can tell them I won't come down to the station.
Now, if the police think that I've committed a crime and they need to arrest me, they can do that. But, they cannot make me come down to the station to talk to them.
They may arrest me, but they better make sure that they've got something to arrest me about... LOL..

There is something called implied consent. Implied consent applies to operating a motor vehicle under the influence. I guess this shows that law enforcement was inept in this matter or they don’t want to make an arrest due to his celebrity.
Normal people do not do what Tiger did.
Nothing in his statement is inconsistent with the TMZ version (fights with wife over affair; he leaves; she smashes rear window causing him to crash; she freaks out and snaps out of it).
