What it shows is that he could repeat the same mistakes if he was President; his main constituecy is Big Business, which actually lkes competition protection and other non-consevative planks.
He is insincere and "bought". What else can one say?
Mitt is a liar and is in no manner a conservative.
You are making this up, Newbie.
Romney could do what he wanted.
Romney chose socialism, death, murderers, and illegal aliens.
I think that Noob1999's previous screen name was Newbie1998.
Hey, Newbie:
How MUCH does Meg and/or Mitt pay you to post this drivel?
I nominate yours for Posting of the Year Award, toooooo FUNNY!!
Free Republic does not and will not support RINOS!! Not now!! Not ever!!
That is the title of the thread. It was posted by Jim Robinson.
You should pull it up and read it. There may be a clue for you in it.
Because Mr. R recognizes that Mitt Romney is dangerous to Conservatism and to freedom.
Does JimRob and this website condone the Palin trashers, and try to create a Mitt backlash, to trash him?
I certainly speak for no one but myself, but I sincerely hope so. Anyone who wants to lead others should be subject to any questions, ridicule, and/or insults the people of the United States wish to dish out to them. If they are too weak to take the insults, they are too flawed to serve in office.
We are not subjects, we are citizens. We don't serve politicians, we allow them to serve us. They don't deserve any respect. They earn it or they don't through their actions.
We can and should trash our politicians all we like and they have the choice of either taking it or bowing out. No one is so rare and special that they deserve good treatment from those they wish to make rules for.
Does this website wish to promote a Republican/Conservative candidate who has no real business experience, like our current loser-in-chief, Zer0?
Does "business experience" make a good man with a moral compass that runs true?
Does "business experience" make a leader who leads because he knows what is right and makes decisions without checking polls?
Does "business experience" mean that the candidate will shy away from big government programs used to enslave voters?
Does "business experience" mean that the candidate loves freedom?
In the case of Mitt Romney, the answer would be a big "NO". He is amoral, will do anything, say anything, and sign any law to make nice.
Mitt has problems, as do each and every Pubbie, Conservative, or RAT potential to lead this once great US!
I suspect that Mitt is a Republican because the Democrats were out of t-shirts the day he registered to vote. He is a Republican in name-only, not at all conservative, and dangerous to the cause of right-thinking people who love freedom. I spent a lot of time growing up in the South. I've seen plenty of Democrats who are far more conservative than Mitt Romney. I don't vote for liberals, and I don't give a darn what letter they choose to slap up next to their name. I don't vote for people who would sell me out for a sandwich.
Back off on the hits to Romney, (or maybe do you see him as a threat, much like the RATs see Palin as a threat??)
Says who? I'll tell you what I have told people who want conservatives to back off the 'hits' on Palin: I'm not a servant. I'm not a subject. I'm a citizen of the United States. As such, I get to decide what is fair game. I get to decide what criteria I want to use to determine who gets my vote. No one who wants to "lead" is above my scorn. No one. Got it?
The more I hear you and anyone else say "so and so should be exempt from criticism", the more I know that I need to take a very long look at what you don't want me to see.
You, and people like you, who want to prop up their favorite candidate and demand special treatment, hurt your cause more than you could know.
Carry on.

I love my God, I love my family, I love my country. We are at that tipping point at this time.
OUR choices will detemine our childrens and families lives.
Your choice will determine your outcome. Think of the broader picture while determining the candidate.
Remember to consider your neighbor.
BAM!!!!! To the point!!!!
Thanks. I saw that after I posted it, but by then it was too late. I still am not sure I’m buying the whole “the Mitt I see here is not the Mitt I know” thing though. He’s clearly there on video saying what he said about abortion. Not sure how that can be argued with.
Thank you, that is the best explanation of what has been happening here for the last year. Good luck in 2010.
Thanks for hanging in there. You have made some very good points. Sad to say there has been “a my way or the highway” mentality around here for some time.
Spacecase1999 never answered my response to that at 167:
...That still does not explain why you didn't identify yourself in your tag-line or in your Vanity Post as "aSheppard" while posting a "Why does FreeRepublic trash Mitt Romney?" screed.
You obviously already knew the answer and only intended to be a subversive disruptor.
Now you seem to act the rude pseudo-victim when caught out.
?? Am I hold my nose Republican??
Yeah, I probably am!
I really thought that Hitlery would be the biggest disaster this country could face, and in early 2008 I saw Romney as a seasoned executive that could take on the corrupt Clintonista regime. His responses were fast on his feet, and he could chuck and jive with the best of them.
Yeah, some of his core values were screwed up, but I thought that the Pubbies could coalease around him. I then liked how McCain gave the RATs a stick in the eye by introducing Palin to the world stage.
Meanwhile the RAT country was into this circle jerk with the hopey/changy bullshit, and the total empty suit won.
Against Hitlery, I had thought that Romney had an excellent chance.
I do not believe that the Conservative side of the pubbie’s can win in the next election, especially since we must bring in a huge portion of the more liberal independents.
Palin is great, but she is still too polarizing to the independents.
We have two years to sort ourselves out. At this point I think that we do a disservice to any viable candidate, either RAT, Pubbie or Conservative, to eat our own.
THE FOCUS IS - GET RID OF THE CHICAGO COMMUNISTS!
This is JUST my opinion.
I agree that the focus should be to get out the chicago crazies, as well as thugs, seiu, liberals and rinos.
I haven’t been able to follow this thread...so I’m jumping in at the end. I held my nose when I voted for McCain, (as well as some others because they weren’t dems) and that was because of Palin. I believe it’s time to listen to the tea partiers and say never again. Never again will we vote for anyone who campaigns with a message, and then ignores his or her own message after the election.
The GOP has ignored us for far too long, and has done nothing to reduce size and spending etc.. They don’t deserve our support because they don’t support us.
I think it’s time for a radical change. I do believe however that the tea partiers can beat obama or whoever will be their next candidate. There is a lot of anger about the way the country is being ran...and voter fraud. The very people who claim Bush stole the election, are running acorn and helped with fraud. We have to take our country back, and I don’t expect the GOP/RNC to help unless they adopt everything the tea partiers want.
Willard is a flip-flopper and liar and can't be trusted.
Romney is ideologically pure, alright -- his record indicates he is a pure liberal.
We don't have settle for this RINO when there are real conservatives out there that can beat Obama.
