I would tell my relatives the same thing. The Constitution is pretty much dead now. Thee armed forces all pledge to defend the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic. How is it they are forced to be oath breakers? We have a usurper in the highest office and the courts are turning a blind eye. We are supposed to fight for this state of affairs? Where is the land of liberty now?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Very astute advise that I would give every military veteran. Military veterans can stay stateside and help us fight the enemies within in 2010 and 2012.

I agree with Beck, enlist for what, so you can get sent into a war where you fight with your hands tied behind your back, where if you get bogged down in a firefight with the enemy you can't call for air reinforcements, where you won't be given add'l troops when needed or the wherewithal to get the job done.
This CIC is a joke, he hasn't a clue what he's doing, he's just getting our troops killed and for what, what is the mission, it's definitely not the same one that Bush started, I say if the libs and the homos want to fight the war let them enlist and go over their and fight it. I'm tired of losing our best and our brightest in a PC war.

A lot of folks fought in the 1940s under left wing FDR. So they should have not served and let Japan and Germany take over. Sure, that would work....Not
There is no comparison between WWII and now. During WWII, there was a very real threat to the very existence of the country AND FDR was all for fighting the war - he wasn't going to hamstring US soldiers with idiotic rules of engagement, prosecute soldiers for doing their jobs, and leave soldiers in heavy combat zones understaffed while he takes his sweet ass time deciding whether or not to reinforce them, nor did FDR go on a world tour apologizing for every military endeavor the US was ever engaged in.
Obama is not, in any way, interested in the security and well being of the US. He will let US soldiers die needlessly if it helps him politically. If I were a young man thinking of enlisting, I'd damn sure wait until Obama was out of office. Why, then, shouldn't someone thinking of re-enlisting consider waiting until Obama is out of office? Our part in Iraq is pretty much over, and Obama is not going to do what it takes to win in Afghanistan. We'll be lucky if he doesn't get all of our guys over there killed. Serving there now will not help the US as long as Obama is running the show. Besides, the biggest threat to the US is not in Afghanistan, at the moment. Guess where it is.

I was an Army wife for 24 years. Marine mother for 10.
Have worked with the military for 20 years. I respect them highly and defend them whenever necessary. I’m the crazy old lady that tells every man or woman she sees in uniform, “We appreciate you!” Since we live next to an Army Post and I work there, I say it a lot.
Glenn’s nephew called him and asked what he should do about re-enlisting.
I agree with Beck on this one. My son did Saudia Arabia and Somalia under Xlinton.
BO has our guys so tied up on the rules of engagement (just like Xlinton did) that the death tolls are hideous. It’s no accident that the toll has risen steadily for the last five months.
I also agree with Beck - about two months ago, I started feeling this way - either support them or bring them home! He’s wasting them.

The big difference?
FDR, left wing as he was, was actually TRYING TO WIN WWII.
Name something the 0bama has done that doesn't:
A. weakened America
B. strengthened islam
C. attacked Israel
...or some combination of the above.

I, too, like Beck and agree that he is wrong in this instance.
obozo would like our men and women to remove themselves from the military, so that HE can form HIS military force that would idolize HIM and obey only HIM.
To the men and women of this nation, Americans fight to win, and win we will...with your most important help. Stay the course and unite with us in winning this war with the most dangerous of foes...the enemy from within, and the greatest threat that we have faced as a nation. God bless our soldiers, and God bless the United States of America.

What in the hell do you think the IslamOfascists are.
AT least in WWII the enemy wore uniforms, there were front lines in battle. If the enemy were to hit the US. then,
it would take days.
Now, the enemy is dressed as your neighbor, weapons now take seconds.
I terrorists who flew into the Pentagon on 9/11 lived here in San Diego as did their Imam, Anwar al-Awlaki who grad. from San Diego St. Univ.
This same Imam later was the same for the Ft. Hood killer
and who moved back to the Middle East and who the Ft. Hood killer was e mailings over the months.

I believe Glenn’s nephew was considering re-enlistment.
I don’t think Glenn was in any way critical of the military. He was voicing concerns that many of us have about our current leadership and it’s commitment to win the war. It’s a valid point and he answered his nephew from his heart.

Would you trust the current administration with your own life? With the One out partying, shooting hoops, playing golf, and waxing his pecs while procrastinating on what policy decision to make, delaying sending more troops until after an election for political reasons? What about the guys who get to die while he can't make up his mind and isn't talking to the generals in the field???
To: null and void
FDR trying to win WWII, Oh really.
He left Americans short of weapons in the Pacific because he was sending them to Uncle Joe Stalin.
Yalta, what was won from Hitler was given over to Russia.

I agree. Other presidents were not against the military like BHO. Read the Miranda rights, don’t shoot if an civilian is near by, etc. - our soldiers are nothing but sitting ducks at the request of the CIC. And we have no idea what else he has up his sleeve for the military - he simply cannot be trusted.
It’s a different era - can’t equate this w/any other CIC.
Beck is right on, IMO.

"Im waiting for this to hit the liberal blogs, because theres been a bit of outrage on twitter over this "
Exactly why I do NOT "twitter".
But, I don't understand the outrage, he's just an Uncle giving advice (on how to stay alive) to his Nephew. He didn't tell his nephew to disobey the commander in cheek, did he?
He didn't tell his nephew to "go AWOL, or desert his post, or anything like that...just gave him some long-term career advice.
If you "twitter", please tell the "twits" that are being outraged that the enlistment offices are open every day, and if they are so worried about a depletion of the people who are out there fighting and dying so they can "twit", then I suggest they run down and sign up.
"UNCLE SAM barrack WANTS YOU!!!"
Arm chair quarterbacks are a dime a dozen, and they are mostly all democrats. I put in my time...why don't the whiners do the same?
These soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan are not putting on a "die in" demonstration like liberals did over the AIDS thing...when the soldiers "die in" Afghanistan, they are carted off by the medics and sent home to their famililes in body bags...not dragged off by policemen in front of TV publicity cameras.
Glenn's nephew...I don't know your name, but listen to your uncle...under the current administration where decisions to sink America in debt and ram healthcare down our throats is high priority, over 90 days to make a decision on the advice of his own Generals shows clearly that the kenyan doesn't have a clue what he's doing, and his every utterance is based on "politics" (read: bull$h!+)...then when my discharge comes up, I'd opt out too.

Exactly! BHO has proven he cannot be trusted w/our military. Glenn is right - he's speaking common sense.

We really need good folks in the military right now. Besides, you’re still on the hook for a total of six years anyway.

obozo would like our men and women to remove themselves from the military, so that HE can form HIS military force that would idolize HIM and obey only HIM.If conservatives left the military, who would be left to serve? Anti-war liberals? Bwahahahahahahahahaha!
To: volunbeer
And I disagree with Beck’s heart and I don’t like him trying to discourage our young men from serving in the military, not only does the nation need their service to keep from having to send our women folk, but the young men usually get one shot to serve in their life and if they get talked out of it, then they rarely get around to serving.
What is Beck’s military service, he graduated High School during the Reagan years.
