Red Canyon. About 7 miles from my hometown where there is nothing but rattlesnakes and tarantulas. BTW, I’ve never even seen a tarantula.

It would be surprising to see the attackers of the Scriptures come up with something new. But it's just the same old line from the atheist script, Luke's genealogy vs. Matthew's, ‘Pi isn't 3’, ‘David was which child of Jesse’, and other flotsam.

"........and the Prophet Joseph Smith".
--Brigham Young

Classic. LOL. It kills me everytime when someone quotes Joe Smith as being some kind of prophet. Bring'em should have added to that quote, "come ye all through Joseph Smith and through Manny, Moe & Jack. Bring lotsa tiding cash, booze and other men's wives and you will find me. My fantasy land ain't cheap. It's gonna cost ya".

And both ‘parents’, Joseph and Mary, were descended of Noah and of Abraham ... I messed up my ‘post to’ designation. Buck W has claimed to be pro-life in earlier posts ... for what that’s worth.

I made a pie this very evening! ... One of my inventions, the no cook chocolate and peanut butter pie. Fancied this one up with shaved chocolate on top of the peanut butter/cool whip topping. Gonna let it sit in the fridge until the Monday Night brawl between New England and New Orleans.

Whatever

...all I am saying spirits always exist they never stop being!

And that definition alone is what I am referring too!

Therefore the spirit can either be nice or cause havoc...

Heavenly Father threw out Lucifer/Satan and he still is and is the god of the underworld.

Does it bother you that your God is descended from a fictional character? (Luke 3:38)

***

This is the real verse

Luke 3
38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

You may be a fundamentalist atheist if you ou adamantly believe that “the Bible says pi equals 3” in 1 Kings 7:23 even though: (1) the verse does not make the slightest reference to the calculation of pi, (2) there are more measurements of the bowl from that verse in subsequent verses, (3) the bowl in question could very likely not have been a “perfect” circle with “perfect” measurements, (4) it’s not unusual for ancient peoples using ancient tools (or even modern peoples using modern tools) to use round, easy to remember numbers, (5) asking an online math forum results in a refutation of your belief but you ignore what professional mathematicians plainly say (including that the Bible is not in error in this place) and twist their words to make it appear as if they are backing your assertion in order to continue to justify your belief (not that you ever had any intention of doing otherwise in the first place).

That is a nice photo it reminds me of a time when the worries in life was innocent and one of the big concerns was getting chores done so one had a enough time to be able to do something they like.

Yes, that’s the verse I was talking about. If Genesis is allegory, then Luke is including a fictional character in Jesus’ genealogy.

I rather thought it to the case like #4 in your post. I say my grandfather died when he was...say 79 years old but really he was 79 years and five months and some days, minutes. I suppose that means I'm math illiterate or something. At any rate, it's such a petty criticism I find it amazing anyone would actually make it.

So if you can’t touch, taste or feel than it don’t exist in your realm?

Peanut butter and chocolate flavors are some of my kids favorites. Got a recipe? Or don’t you share? Some people are real protective of their recipes.

I think you're missing the point of the discussion.

Have you been following the conversation between the different posters about the Bible being allegory and the implications of that?

Why else do you think that the general authorities don’t want you reading books that don’t come from mormon bookstores?

= = = = = = = = = =

Speaking of which, did you hear about the guy who was ex’d from the LDS for going into a Christian bookstore?
