Perpetual Motioners are the Ron Paulians of the physics world.

They cling to theories that have no basis in fact and then get defensive when you challenge them.

Annoying.

There are so many suckers who believe that wind and sun will solve our problems. ...

Fossil fuels are cheap and readily available.

But the wind and sun are free. That's one reason power companies are putting money into wind power, because there is zero fuel cost. This insulates them from fuel price fluctuations. Fossil fuels cost money and are becoming less available.

Not exactly free. It is and intermittent energy source at best. Plus, wind and solar generation stations are not in the cities but out in the boonies. Means distribution costs are damned expensive. Someones gotta pay for it.

Besides, if it were so effective, why are subsidies so absolutely necessary. It takes an impractical number of years (sometimes will over a hundred years) for the wind and especially solar to pay for itself.

And the reason fossil fuels are less available may be by design. Remember that Obama is going to bankrupt the coal industry. Actually, it has been happening all along through environmental regs.
