I met Pete Conrad at least twice. I also got to see him pilot another pioneering craft in the NM desert.

I’ve met Buzz a couple of times. But I was more polite. :)
I think I’ve met about a half dozen of the Apollo astronauts. If I wasn’t in such awe and reverence for their accomplishment I should have asked for autographs.

I too had a brief conversation with Pete. Me and a couple of friends were sitting at a hotel outdoor bar table and he joined us to “shoot the bull” about recent space development. Of course he was really doing it, not just following it like we were*.
* Actually we were doing space work, just not at the level he was.
