Good point, and I stock chlorine bleach for sanitation, not for purifying drinking water. There are other products out there that are much better for purifying water, and that subject is also worth a thread all it’s own...
Thank You to everyone who has commented on this thread over the weekend. I really appreciate how we can set the politics aside for a while and have a great discussion about a serious subject, and come up with some incredibly useful information that benefits us all. I put my inventory up knowing full well that Freepers would poke holes in it, and there is no better way to get another set of eyes on something this important. I’m making notes as I read all of the replies and the feedback on this thread is of tremendous help, and I will use much of it.
I hope that some of you who are reading this realize that you have to have a plan, and then put the plan in place, but the most important point to remember is that this is not hard to do. Start with websites on survival and search Amazon for books. There are tons of resources available, and even a little preparation can go a long, long way. It really isn’t that hard to do, and you probably have more space to store what you need than you realize.
