I highly recommend Kaspersky Internet Security. It has to be one of the best anti malware apps I’ve ever seen. It’s very flexible and has lots of features.
I wouldn’t recommend it on slower machines, but that seems to be the general rule for all software that comes out these days.
The site says you can do a virus scan without uninstalling your current AV program... but that it’s
“down” for now. Does that really work?
Panda is decent but bloated. We used to have a site license at home, until we switched to Nod32.
Is MSE protect against BOTH virus and malware/spyware? No need for additional protection?
According to the FAQ on MS web site, it does deal with spyware too. I had Windows Defender on one machine that I installed MSE on, and they both are still running fine. I was thinking about uniinstalling Defender, but will leave it up a little longer to see whether it adds anything.
