Juan had an epiphany and I am totally supportive of it. I like him. I saw the "Welcome Home" comment.

We must be careful not to sanctify him or we will be sorely disappointed. He is still a liberal who can make jaw dropping statements.

He did tonight. Talking about the cute little [white] 6 year old he wondered what the reaction would have been had he been a cute little black 6 year old. He and others thought the reaction would be different.

I beg to disagree.

Remember the young girl who brought the Tweety Bird key chain to school? Remember the outrage?

While Ashley Smith is a cute little girl, she is not white. The reaction was the same--outrage. Link tp story here.

I should add I do not say that as a criticism of Juan.

The difference between Juan and the race baiters is that Juan was not trying to fuel the hatred. He made a statement that was wrong. Perhaps he would reconsider painting with such a broad brush if someone reminded hm of what happened to Ashley..

Juan is a decent, Christian man but an apologist for Obama in every situation. Both men are miseducated, and light-weights intellectually. The difference between them is that Obama is a radical, flag burner, and Juan is a utopian.

Being accused of being a racist does not add to your advertising value. It usually results in advertisers dropping you. I personally don’t think Rush needs this to add to his value anyway. I’m not going to look at it as if these people have done him any favors. He was doing quite well without being slandered all over the place and being cheated out of his dream.

Your original post insinuated that there was no damage here. That ‘poor’ Rush was going to get richer off this incident. I don’t think that’s anywhere near the point.

If I may....Rush always lands on his feet, he doesn't lose....using the R-word against him, will result in more exposure....and as for losing sponsors, Rush's sponsors are with him, because of the audience he attracts.....
