“I do not believe race has any thing to do with it.
Nothing!”
You’re joking right? And I suppose you don’t think race has anything to do with the fact that white RBs in the NFL are practically an extinct species....LOL
“Ummmm.....Tony Romo is Hispanic.”
You can be “hispanic” and still be considered “white”.
That all depends on how high he gets drafted & how much money he can command. If Tebow goes in the upper half of the first round there will be tremendous pressure to play him right away. If enough teams think highly of Tebow then this is a real possibility.
Perhaps the best thing to happen to Tim Tebow would be for him to go low-first, high-second. He'd have a shot at learning the position in the pro game (though he may re-define the position eventually).
I think some team will gamble and trade up to snatch him. Doubt he makes it past 20. But if he falls to the late 1st or early 2nd, you’re right- best thing for him.
Speaking of Matt Jones...its a little puzzling why a guy who is 6’6, 240, runs a 4.3 forty and led his NFL team in receiving last year is sitting at home waiting for a phone call...makes you go hmmmmmm.
Excellent point.
Jason drops back, sees a receiver open and THEN he throws.
By then it's too late.
Give the Skins Peyton, lose Zorn and I guarantee they would be 4-1...not 2-3.
Absolutely...another Brett Favre Jr.
Don’t feel uncomfortable. Washington is a political town, first of all. The Redskins drafted a black QB because it was fashionable to do so. We had Doug Williams because he was an experienced QB. The love-affair with black QBs must end because most of them are mediocre and carry too much baggage to be successful. Jason has mentioned a number of times he wants to be a pocket passer and not a scrambler, i.e., he wants to be seen as cerebral and not another black athlete, who naturally excels at running. McNabb made this same declaration a couple of years ago as well. So, when it makes sense for Campbell to run, he would rather throw an interception, fumble or take a sack, rather than help his team by running for the first down. He is killing the team. He looks shell-shocked before the game starts and he’s just slow to recognize trouble and make adjustments. The biggest problem is the idiots that keeps drafting these sub-par people: Vinnie Cerrato and Dan Snyder.
And...he introduced us to "Didney-world"
oops, was that racist??
Yeah, we sufferred through the Next Great Athletic Black QuotaBack Hope experiment here in Atlanta for about five years....tore the city and Falcon franchise apart. Now we have Matt Ryan and life is good.
Bingo.
Just getting ready to watch football when Berman announces a special word from President Obama about national Hispanic month. UGH. Turned the channel. If the NFLPA is so worried about politics in football, keep Obama out of it as well.
That’s an interesting observation. McNabb has become bigger over the years too. Too much chunky Campbell’s soup perhaps?
You can add Chad Henne to that list.
I think the bigger story is Jamarcus Russell. That guy belongs nowhere near an NFL field and absolutely no one is saying it. One local NYC espn radio host said it today and was wondering why no one is calling Russell out. Hmmmmmm...
Well one thing is they could use the excuse that JaMarcus doesn’t have much of a supporting cast around him. For one thing, I thought McFadden was going to be as good as Adrian Peterson, and that hasn’t panned out.
sometimes we don't have to make an issue out of everything...
