I’m with you. If you google the term, you’ll see that he has virtually every symptom. I lived with one for 16 years. They are ugly, ugly people.

I’d say that Obama is a malignant narcissist. When things are going their way, such people are on top of the world. But when things go against them, depression is a likely outcome.

You are right. Narcissists cannot tolerate it when the adoration fades, or they are continually questioned. And, it is especially bad if it is public. Any critique, no matter how slight, is thought by them to be an outright assult campaign against them. I know, I lived with one. I had to learn a lot about narcissism to understand.

When things really get rough, the narcissist first gets unreasonably angry, then hides and isolates themselves...then they run. Or, they suffer an emotional break down.

Narcissism is NOT a MENTAL illness. It is an emotional dysfunction. They just always see things differently and live in a perpetual fog they create for themselves. It is great when they can pull people in there with them. But when those close to them become suspicious or questioning, and no longer adore them...they throw them out and blame them for everything wrong.

This is why I have said from the days during Obama's campaign when he showed signs of malignant narcissism, that he will suffer an emotional breakdown before his term is ended. He has proven many times that he is thin-skinned.

It all stems from his dysfunctional family and being bounced around, and never really knowing who he was, who his father was/is, and why his mother left him, etc. It also comes from his mixed heritage, and feeling like an outsider. This is why he so much needs to identify himself with a group, a movement, a cause, etc. He feels no real self-identity. A narcissist is only a reflection of what he feels people think he is. When that changes, a narcissist is lost and has to re-invent himself.

For this reason, I have said over and over, all those elected to high political office should undergo a severe personality test just like those for administrative level positions in businesses and corporations often have to take. Those tests weed out the incompetent, untruthful, poor leadership skills, and those who are not team players. Had Obama undergone this type of test, he would not have been a candidate at all. What could be more important than to know that our leaders are emotionally well-balanced, even if we do not agree with them??? It seems it is the most important thing we should insist be done before turning over our country to someone who has emotional problems.

I am still going to stick with closet racist, which flopped out in plain view with the Gates affair.

And so why is there race preferences in the health care bill?

Interesting hypothesis, but since you did not present any professional credentials to back up your observations, I think it’s fair to question your “diagnosis”.

Personally, I chalk most of the things you mention up to Obama’s Liberalism, with a healthy dose of not having any clue what he is doing thrown in for good measure. I think Obama is discovering that wanting the Presidency is a lot more fun than the having it...

He acts the way Hitler would have if he had been restrained by the German people from fufilling his agenda. Obama didn’t anticipate opposition. He thought he would be able to scream racist and people would back off and be doormats to his agenda.

He’s a ceremonial addict and if he had snagged the Olympics, he would have begun to fight tooth and nail over being reelected so he could preside over them like Hitler did. eing refused and so publicly he has not just lost the Olympics, but a tremendous amount of face as well.

He didn’t get what he wanted and he lost in front of his supporters. Huge letdown and the first major humiliation on the world stage. He’s been shown by the rest of the world that he is nothing, not the power player he’s posed himself to be, along with that arrogant hog Oprah.

With his healthcare rumpus and now this, he’s quite possibly hearing the word ‘no’ for the first time in his life. But internationally it’s surely the most humiliating thing he’s experienced. Same with Oprah. She looked so arrogant, walking with REAL power players on the world stage as though she were an equal of them.

Zero is such an idiot for letting Hollywood into the White House the way he has. Heads of state are judged doubly on who they keep company with and turn to for advice. While we might not think so, I am sure that Putin has religious leanings and thinks that what he does is what God wants for his country.

All heads of state think this way. They don’t turn to celebrities and the fact that Zero does this is surely something they cannot understand. All these actresses (and some actors I am sure) are no different to these other heads of state than the ones they themselves keep as mistresses. Since it is apparent that he takes them seriously, Zero looks all the more a fool.

Frankly, i don't think the list points to depression in any compelling way. Just about everyone could be labeled depressed (or paranoid or whatever we want to label them) if we cherry pick things like that.

Anger? That's pretty much par for the course for lefties these days. Plus how much of it is real? How much is acting?
Distancing himself from reality? par for the course; besides he may have other agendas driving him that only makes it seem like he is divorced from reality but instead has a different goal than most of us
Blaming others? par for the course
Lying blatantly? par for the course, plus when you have a media going out of their way to defend everything you say and do why worry about lying? Religious foundation? par for the course
Getting him "up"? probably has a lot to do with narcissism, ie, he only gets going when the spotlight is on him, when everyone is looking at him like a god
Olympic blunder? we can't blame bad decisions on depression, non-depressed people make bad judgments all the time of course, especially those who are convinced of their greatness, that they can do no wrong....the blunder probably had a lot to do with overconfidence and with not realizing that the tactics which work well here may not work so well abroad.

So all in all, taken together or separately, i think it is little more than reading tea leaves. Besides, saying he might be depressed would probably only make him more sympathetic in the eyes of his fans (including his media lap dogs), and of course the blame for it would be those mean conservatives saying bad things about him.

a. “Anger”, Dems are always angry.

b.” Distancing oneself from reality”, Dems don’t live in reality, never have.

c. “Blaming others for failures”, Standard Operational Procedure for a Dem.

d. “Lying blatantly”, The typical angry Dem not living in reality, and blaming others lies incessantly to cover their own failures. It’s SOP.

e, “...devoid of any sincere religious foundation...”, again is SOP for a Leftist. They are either Athiests, or lie about religion, and use it for personal gain.

f. “...staff has had to get him “up” for various duties...” He’s the Pres_ent, and doesn’t know what to do.

g. “...as the President’s close associates stood to be greatly enriched by the games being in Chicago.” The Democrat Party Obama leads is a criminal enterprise.

“...are serious issues with President Obama’s mental health.” Liberalism is a mental disorder.

Better stick with your day job, Grumpa. Your stay at Holiday Inn last night doesn’t qualify you as a psychoanalyst.

Obama isn’t nuts. From the day he was born, he was surrounded by, raised by, and mentored by America-hating communists. He’s fulfilling his destiny.

None of this adds up to depression, but it does add up to being in over one's head. I'd say a character disorder under stress is more like it.
