Can’t say “black”.
Can say “fat” unless of course you’re the woman’s doctor. Doctors will tell you that their peers have been sued for telling a patient that they are fat and need to lose weight.

A week or so ago, I posted a story where a family in a restaurant were offended by a note left on their tab describing the naughty child’s behavior; they were offended too.

“The lesson they should learn is my money helps run that store,” Hodges said. “And I won’t be going back.”
IMHO, she is taking the CORRECT action here. The owner, however misguided he/she may be in writing that on the receipt, isn’t immune from the consequences of such a statement.
