Thanks for your thoughts. I just hope we will actually find a person for the 2012 election that true conservatives can get behind and believe in. A few names pop into my mind.

When I heard that Obama was elected I felt for the first time an overwhelming feeling of fear and horror as the result of an election. I was just incredulous that someone like him could be elected in the United States and that so many people are taken in by him.

As I posted to someone on Facebook who said that God would not abandon the US, is God supposed to overlook mass murder of babies? Open homosexuality? Unfortunately, I believe the US will have even worse things happen unless we, as a nation, have revival on a massive scale. God doesn’t ignore a nation’s sins. Look at Israel. God let them suffer the consequences of their national sin at times so that they would turn back to Him.
So do you think we will be judged as a nation?

To answer your question: I believe that I alone will be judged when that time comes. I believe that being reborn through Christ’s ultimate sacrifice made me one of his chosen people.
I believe that you are correct in saying that we need a massive turnaround in this country. But at this time I have to hate the sins, not the sinners.
Am I a weekly attendee at church? Nope. Do I read and study the Bible? You bet. Do I KNOW I will rest in Heaven? ABSOLUTELY!!
You know, you are right. So many of us have our own personal traumas and then to deal with all the crap coming out of government on top of it all makes a girl cry sometimes....and toss and turn some nights.

Yes, I agree that we will individually be judged on the Day of Judgment, however, I also believe we will as a nation on the whole suffer the consequences of national sin just as Israel had done in her past. Israelites, whether they practiced idolatry, etc. or not, were subjected to bondage by foreign powers along side the sinners and corrupt of their nation.
Like you, I am concerned about what I see and hear going on around me in my nation, but I don’t spend sleepless nights because, as a Christian, I know Who is in control. I believe we are living in the end times and though, on a human level it scares the crap out of me, on a spiritual level it is kind of exciting because I know we are one day closer to the second coming of our Lord and Savior!

From my perspective? He is right! Honest and truthful! Objective too. He calls it as he sees it and you know what? He is accurate.
