As for hospitals being viral incubators, do you think that hospitals were germ free prior to the Swine Flu? Its call nosocomial infection, and its a problem since the first hospital opened.
During an epidemic, vaccinated health care workers would present at least a small obstacle to the virus burning its way through the entire hospital. Granted, hand washing is more important.

So everyone in the hospital in patient care areas should wear a mask whether they are symptomatic or not? If you are worried about folks shedding the virus or getting the virus, then yes. Infected folks can start shedding the virus before they become symptomatic, and vaccinated folks can shed the virus. Whether or not you have been vaccinated doesn't determine whether or not you can be spreading the virus. You could have already encountered the virus, and be generating the antibodies needed to protect yourself without having been symptomatic.
The point is that the rules should follow the facts of virus transmission, not the politics of forcing the vaccination.
And I have been careful to NOT get any flu vaccines. Part of that is due to an autoimmune condition which says I'm not a good candidate for anything requiring the immune system to work right, and part is due to skepticism that the doctors really know the long term risks. For example, this page notes:
"According to the world's leading immunogeneticist, Dr. Hugh Fudenberg, if an individual has had five consecutive flu shots, his or her chances of getting Alzheimer's disease is 10 times higher than if they had one, two or no shots."

we’ll never have abortion on demand, we’ll never have schools demonstrating the use of condoms, we’ll never have gun control, we’ll never have white house advisors that are avowed domestic terrorists, socialists, who believe in forced population control, or letting animals sue their masters.. no..just close your eyes and pretend its not happening..

So do you. You assume that the World Health Organization will not follow through on things they are already allowed to do, and this is the most dangerous assumption of all.. You assume that the government wouldn’t dare do things because its either illegal and immoral or unconstitutional, and they already have...lots of times.. and that attitude is what keeps pushing the US down a hole..

No, I don't assume that. But that doesn't make chemtrails real, and it doesn't mean that someone's going to force you to get a flu shot. If a government agent seizes you and forces a needle into your arm, I'll come back to this thread and admit that my skepticism about forced H1N1 vaccine was incorrect. If they don't, you can do the same. How's that?

and you know darn well that it won’t be that blatant...remember social security cards? I don’t know if you’re old enough to remember when they were voluntary... but now, as soon as a baby is born they are assigned a number..and you cannot get work or credit without one. (unless you are an illegal alien). Car insurance used to be voluntary too, now your car can be taken if you don’t have it. They will continue to make shots voluntary, but there will be strict penalties for those who refuse... as it is, a child cannot attend school without proof of immunization even for things that no longer exist in our society.. This is how government force works. Extortion.

So is your position that you will or won't be forced to get an H1N1 vaccine?

Apparently, the vaccines worked.

I agree. However, this isn’t going to be stopped. My statement doesn’t infer we do nothing; I feel that we should do all we can. But if you are proposing that ALL healthcare workers get vaccinated, you are infringing on their liberty to be able to choose for themselves.

I think they are foolish if they don't, but I wouldn't force any of them to do so.

I give up...hide your head in the sand...don’t address the legitimate arguements I brought up... no, we may not be physically forced into vaccinations..but we will be blackmailed into it, like we were with social security numbers.. something is not “voluntary” if we cannot function in society without doing it.

Health care workers should get a flu shot. Otherwise, you turn the hospitals into viral incubators. Not to mention a health care worker should have enough education to debunk the internet anti-vaccine tripe anyway. I'd be nervous to find that I'm being treated by someone who didn't pay attention in immunology.A flu shot only protects the person who gets it. It doesn't prevent anyone from carrying the virus, or from transmitting it to others.

By volunteering to serve in the military, it is implicitly understood that you volunteer for *ALL* aspects of the military. If you don’t want these minuses, don’t sign up.
Including some of the following:
Possible death in war
Mandatory vaccinations
Inability to quit job
Jail time for refusing orders
etc
etc
etc.

An individual who is unable or unwilling to submit to vaccination or treatment shall not be required to submit to such procedures but may be isolated or quarantined pursuant to section 96 of chapter 111 if his or her refusal poses a serious danger to public health or results in uncertainty whether he or she has been exposed to or is infected with a disease or condition that poses a serious danger to public health, as determined by the commissioner, or a local public health authority operating within its jurisdiction. What I don't understand is that, under the conditions above, the only people susceptible to the disease will be those that have consciously refused the vaccine.
Therefore, they - willingly and with conscious forethought - accept the risk of sickness. Likewise, everyone else cannot be infected due to the vaccine.
So why quarantine the non-vaccinated? No-one will get sick who hasn't already accepted the chance.
I don't get it.

" When this flu season goes by and no one is forced into concentration camps and vaccinated against their will, I wonder if the anti-vaccine zealots will admit they were wrong."
(Without any rancor, respectfully disagreeing with your position) If this flu season passes without any of the above eventuating, it will be because The Usurper and his Fellow Tyrants in DC have taken fearful stock of an aroused (and armed) populace, and calculated that, just perhaps, this is one crisis that will have to be wasted.
