OK, I gotta know:
Exactly when were you trying to surf? I spent the afternoon on the 12th and 13th at the Hatteras Lighthouse beach w/ 3 girlfriends. We are way too old to be eyeballing surfers (40’s), two of us are very happily married...and we eyeballed surfers and were generally crazy anyway.
And yes, the surfing and the surf were impressive.
Small world. I was on that beach ‘till about 5pm on Saturday the 12th (couple hundred yards south of the steel jetty). You should have seen the surf earlier in the week, it was pretty gnarly. Saw a lot of Quebec license plates all week. Dang Frenchies are trying to take over the place. ; )
