Amen...and that could still happen. Blout could still decide to press charges. But this is a start and I am glad it was for the entire season. It is exactly what this guy deserves, if not for the rest of his collegiate career.

I'm not surprised. What Blount did was horrible, especially we have tape of him hitting a member of his own team, nearly getting into a fight with the fans, and nearly getting into a fight with stadium security!

if not for the rest of his collegiate career. It just might be. He is a JC transfer and has one season already at OSU, so this could be his last year of eligibility.

Actually Hout was a moron for taunting. He asked for it...he got it.
BUT Blount deserved it. Plus he didn’t man up by removing his helmet and backpedalling.

Good. That was the worst display of sportsmanship I have ever seen. He should be charged and sent to jail. What he did was assault on another person.

Exactly. It’s probably pretty tame compared to what you hear on an NFL field on every play.

Actually Hout was a moron for taunting. He asked for it...he got it. Had Blount not run his mouth after last year's loss to Boise State, Hout probably wouldn't have said anything. He said it to Blount, not anyone else. He said it to Blount for a reason.

Coach Chip Kelly said Blount will remain on scholarship.
Cool, suspended with pay. Not to bad for a player that has more fire after a game than during.

Come on. Blount had indicated that the Ducks were going to give the Broncos a well deserveed A** Whoopin, and he announced it to the press a few days before the game.
As it turned out, Blount was shutdown and the Ducks were manhandled.
The Bronco player, Hout, popped Blount's shoulder pad and tols him, "How about that for an a** whoopin", which Blount responded to with a sucker punch when Hout looked the other way.
No comparison...no comparison whatsoever.
And it reflects in the action. Hout will not be suspended at all, Blount is suspended for the rest of the season...his last season, BTW.
